First Residents Move into Massachusetts Community

The first group of residents has moved in at Salmon at Medway, a Salmon Health and Retirement community in Medway, Massachusetts.

The community sits on a 57-acre site and has 171 units of independent living, assisted living and memory care, including 15 attached independent living cottages. A future phase is planned that will add to the property 54 for-sale freestanding cottage homes, a pavilion and a medical office building.

Amenities include bocce and pickleball courts, a bank, spa, salon and barber shop, fitness center, indoor pool, general store, library, billiards lounge, workshop, creative arts studio, clubhouse, great room and a greenhouse.

New ISL Community Completed in Illinois

A project team that includes ISL Ventures and Leading Light Development has announced the completion of construction for a new senior living community operated by Integral Senior Living (ISL) in Mount Prospect, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago.

The community, Mount Prospect Senior Living, has 88 units and amenities for residents such as a bistro bar paying tribute to the Chicago Cubs and a two-story entry lobby with a stacked stone fireplace that extends to the second floor. The community also has two family visiting lounges with plexiglass dividers.

Other project partners included Pi Architects, Charles Hall Construction, Manhard Engineering, TDi, and EEA Consulting Engineers.

Construction Complete at Senior Lifestyle Community in Illinois

Senior Lifestyle and Kaufman Jacob are the developers of The Sheridan at Oak Brook, a newly built senior living community in the western Chicago suburb of Oak Brook, Illinois.

The five-story, 200-unit community has amenities such as a fitness and therapy center, multimedia room, game room, salon and outdoor terraces.

Lamar Johnson Collaborative designed the community while Walsh Construction was the $62 million project’s general contractor.

— Spectrum Retirement Communities has proposed building a 130-bed senior living community in Potomac, Maryland.

— Senior Living is part of HHHunt’s plan to build 2,000 homes just west of Richmond, Virginia.

— The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago have received initial approval to build senior living apartments at the organization’s campus in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood.
