Charter, DMK Plan Project in Kentucky
Charter Senior Living is teaming up with DMK Development Group for a new senior living community slated to open in Paducah, Kentucky.
The 81-unit community is planned to have amenities that include an activity room, a beauty shop and barber, library, fitness center, landscaped courtyards, putting green and gardens.
All told, the project represents an investment of about $14 million. Charter and DMK have secured about five acres of land for purchase, and construction could start as soon as later this year in the fall, with a completion date in winter, 2022.
TWG Plans Active Adult Community in Illinois
Developer TWG has its sights set on the Chicago suburb of Naperville, Illinois, for a new active adult community.
The $62.3 million community is slated to include 174 units ranging from one- to three-bedroom apartments, 80% of which are reserved for residents who are age 55 or older. Planned amenities include a second-floor courtyard with a pool and hot tub, yoga lawn and grilling stations.
If all goes according to plan, TWG is set to complete the community in the summer of 2023.
Accesso Plans Active Adult Project in North Carolina
Accesso, a fully integrated investment manager and operator of office buildings and multifamily properties, has plans to open a new luxury active adult community in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The property will include 200 units and amenities including a grand lobby and clubhouse, library, demonstration kitchen, private dining, a movie theater and event space, fitness center and yoga room, private courtyard and grilling pavilion, outdoor living room, fire pit and a resort-style swimming pool and pool deck.
The firm partnered with developer Proffitt Dixon Partners on the project.

Silverado Project in Nevada Slated to Open in Early 2022
A new Silverado community is in the works at Summerlin, Nevada, a master-planned community on the west side of Las Vegas.
The community, Silverado Summerlin, is planned to have room to support 72 residents and access to the operator’s memory care programs and services.
Silverado projects the community will open early in 2022.

Capitol Seniors Housing Opens Atria Community in New York
Capitol Seniors Housing has opened an assisted living and memory care community operated by Atria Senior Living in Clarkstown, New York.
The three-story community, Atria New City, has 80 residential apartments and amenities that include a club room with a fireplace, library, wellness center with health check-ups and monitoring and a multipurpose room for games and activities.
Meyer Senior Living Studio designed the community.

— Trammel Crow is working on a 215-unit senior living community in Falls Church, Virginia.
— The Los Angeles neighborhood of Eagle Rock is slated to get a new senior living community.
— A $142 million mixed-use development planned for Noblesville, Indiana, is slated to include senior housing.
— Plans are in motion to turn a former hospital in Katy, Texas, into a senior living community with about 90 units.

— Workers have “topped out” a Manhattan residential skyscraper that will include senior living when completed.
