Benchmark Plans Assisted Living Expansion at New Hampshire Community

Benchmark is adding new assisted living apartments at its Benchmark Senior Living at Nashua Crossings community in Nashua, New Hampshire.

In a matter of weeks, construction workers are set to begin demolishing an old house on a half-acre plot in front of the community. The demolition will make way for the addition of a 14,000 square foot, two-story building with 14 assisted living apartments, a bistro with an outdoor patio, a fire pit and a recreation room.

Udelsman Associates designed the project, while StudioSix5 handled the community’s interior design. Construction is expected to be completed by early summer 2022.

Sparrow Partners, Welltower Start Work on Texas Active Adult Community

Sparrow Partners and Welltower (NYSE: WELL) have broken ground on a 188-unit active adult community in Georgetown, Texas, which is a suburb of Austin.

The community’s one-and-two-bedroom apartments are planned to range in size from 615 square feet to 1,285 square feet, with rates of about $1,500 to $2,500 per month. Amenities are set to include bocce and pickleball courts, a resort-style pool and sun deck, dog park, fitness center, game lounge, media lounge, community garden, library and coffee bar.

Sparrow Partners and Welltower are building and owning the community, Amberlin Georgetown, while Sparrow Partners subsidiary Sparrow Living is set to manage the property.

Wisconsin Community Now Under Construction

Construction is now underway for Rolling Hills, a $20 million senior living community and rehabilitation center in Sparta, Wisconsin.

Rolling Hills is planned to have 98 beds for skilled nursing, residential care and assisted living. Features of the community include a beauty and barber shop, bistro, outdoor space for activities and a hospital-grade ventilation system.

Kraus-Anderson Madison is the project’s general contractor, while Community Living Solutions designed the community.

Senior Housing Community Now Open in Oklahoma

Private equity firm Gardner Capital has completed construction on Tennyson Manor, a senior housing community in Enid, Oklahoma.

The apartment complex has one- and two-bedroom apartment homes with access to amenities such as electric vehicle charging stations.

Red Stone Equity Partners and Legacy Bank & Trust Company were among the project’s financial partners, and Seldin Companies is working as property manager.

Plans are moving ahead for a new Claiborne Senior Living community with 120 units in Baltimore.

— A senior living community operated by the Franciscan Ministries and the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago in Homer Glen, Illinois, is planning to add 36 new memory care units.

— The Foundation for Health Care Continuums is planning to co-locate a 110-unit senior living community and a daycare with the capacity to look after 92 kids.
