Vi Community in Florida Plans $41M Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Renovation Project

Vi at Bentley Village, a Vi community in Naples, Florida, is set to overhaul and upgrade its assisted living and skilled nursing residences.

With the $41 million project, Vi plans to renovate its skilled nursing wing to include 84 single-occupancy rooms with private baths. Workers will also upgrade the community’s therapy areas, multipurpose spaces and activity areas; and build a new wellness facility with physical and occupational therapy equipment, private treatment rooms and an outdoor therapy courtyard.

The work will expand the community’s assisted living wing to include 99 assisted living and memory care apartments. The project’s scope also will include a lounge and bar along with fitness and activity rooms, and enhanced seating, shade and new landscaping in the community’s courtyard.

Construction is set to kick off in the third quarter of 2021, and if all goes according to plan, the work will wrap up within 18 months.

Senior Lifestyle Breaks Ground on Expansion at Washington, D.C. Community

Senior Lifestyle has announced the start of construction for a new renovation project at The Residences at Thomas Circle, a senior living community in Washington, D.C.

The work is slated to include a new multi-purpose activity room, living room, den and library and main and private dining rooms. The community is also planning a new interior design that will feature wooden furniture, plush seating and drapery and contemporary artwork. Senior Lifestyle also is adding 17 new apartment homes to its memory care neighborhood.

The work is slated to wrap up in the spring of this year.

Restoration Senior Living to Hold Ribbon-Cutting for Florida Community

Restoration Senior Living is holding a ribbon-cutting celebration for a new 54-unit senior assisted living community in Naples, Florida.

The community is the result of a partnership between Trinity Private Equity Group and Restoration Senior Living. The community was constructed by BBMK Contracting, Blue Team Restoration and Flatiron Development.

Acts CCRC in New Jersey Begins Renovation, Expansion Project

Acts Retirement-Life Communities has announced the start of an expansion and remodeling project at The Evergreens, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) that is home to 216 residents in Moorestown, New Jersey.

The $10 million project includes a new clubhouse with a bistro, coffee shop, library, theater, wellness center, hair salon and rehabilitation space; alongside work on the community’s lobby area, front entrance, fitness center, main dining room and game room.

Acts expects the work to wrap up in 2022.

Active Adult Community Opens in Texas

The city of Georgetown, Texas, has a new active adult community.

Walker Real Estate and Chalk Hill Ventures announced the completion of construction on NorthStar Georgetown, a community with 210 active adult apartments. Amenities include galleries for hosting events, a pool, outdoor kitchen grilling spaces, bocce ball court, dog park and a pickleball court plaza.

Roscoe Property Management is the community’s manager. Other project partners include Pi Architects, Square One Consultants, Pat Berry Design and Skybeck Construction.

Capitol Seniors Housing Opens Pennsylvania Community

Capitol Seniors Housing has opened Arbor Terrace Exton, an assisted living and memory care community in West Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania.

The community, Arbor Terrace Exton, has three interconnected neighborhoods with 88 apartments for residents and amenities such as a grand lobby, bistro, clubroom, library with an area for kids, salon, theater, and an art room. Capitol Seniors Housing is also touting new infection control features, such as touchless technology and filters and microbicidal paint.

The community’s designers were influenced by local farmhouses and buildings, which inspired them to use materials such as stone and reclaimed wood, and incorporate design features such as shutters and open porches and a fireplace.

Meyer Senior Living Studio designed the project, while IMC Construction built the community.

National Church Residences Opens Affordable Community in Georgia

National Church Residences recently held a grand-opening celebration for a new affordable senior housing community in Pembroke, Georgia.

The three-story community, Ash Branch Manor, has 70 apartments and offers free WI-FI, a wellness center, community room with a kitchen, community garden, gazebo and a laundry facility.
