Spaid Steps Up as New NHI CFO

National Health Investors (NYSE: NHI) announced that John Spaid is the company’s new chief financial officer.

Spaid, who was previously the company’s executive vice president of finance, is now repsonsible for finance, strategic planning, investor relations, treasury, taxes and accounting.

Spaid first joined NHI in 2016. He has more than 30 years of experience in private equity, real estate, finance and senior housing.

Compass Senior Living Hires New CFO

Compass Senior Living has named Seppo Rajala to the role of CFO.

Rajala previously worked in finance and accounting for more than two decades. In his new role, he will support and lead the operator’s accounting functions and financial relationships.

Healthpeak Expands Board to Eight Members

Healthpeak Properties, (NYSE: PEAK), the REIT formerly known as HCP, recently appointed Sara Grootwassink Lewis as an independent director to its board of directors.

The appointment grows the company’s board to eight directors, with an average tenure of about five years.

Lewis is the founder and CEO of Lewis Corporate Advisors, a board and capital markets advisory firm.

Integral Announces Promotions, Names New Leaders in Florida

Integral Senior Living promoted several members of its leadership team and named two local leaders at a community in Florida.

The operator made the following announcements:

— Jeffery Smith was promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing.

— Allison Singler was promoted to the role of regional vice president of sales and marketing.

— Cathy Battles was promoted to regional vice president of human resources.

— Erin Rohrbacher was promoted to senior regional human resources director.

The company also named Melanie Acevedo as executive director and Hope Garling as director of sales and marketing for its Capstone at Royal Palm community in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.

Masterpiece Living Announces New COO

Eloy Lopez has joined Masterpiece Living as its new COO.

Lopez is the founder and former President and COO of consumer-facing digital music company Beatport. In his new role, he will use technology to help expand Masterpiece’s reach.

Pegasus Hires Regional Operations Director, Names New ED

Pegasus Senior Living has named Alex Germain-Robin as its newest regional director of operations.

In his new role, Germain-Robin is tasked with overseeing the operations and efficiency of the company’s communities in the U.S. Southeast.

Pegasus also named Tommy Saxon as the new executive director of Town Village Crossing, a Pegasus independent community in Arlington, Texas.

Arrow Senior Living Hires Regional Director

Arrow Senior Living Management hired Tracy Cecil as the regional director for operations for its St. Louis region.

Cecil previously worked as a senior living administrator for independent, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing communities. She has more than two decades of experience overall.

Juniper Appoints Senior Sales Director

Juniper Communities recently appointed Ryan Bartell to the newly created position of senior sales director.

In his new role, Bartell will handle the onboarding of directors of community relations, mentoring, coaching and ad hoc, on-site sales support.

Bartell has spent the past 12 years working in the senior housing industry.

Virginia Life Plan Community Names Marketing VP

Christine Carruthers is the new vice president of marketing at Harbor’s Edge, a life plan community in Norfolk, Virginia.

Carruthers is tasked with leading sales and marketing efforts at Harbor’s Edge, including for the community’s new $200 million River Tower expansion that is scheduled to open in 2021.

Carruthers has more than two decades of experience in marketing and sales. To date, she has worked with more than 100 retirement communities across the country.

LifeSpire Hires Communications Director

LifeSpire of Virginia named Hillary Smith as its corporate director of communications.

Smith, who is replacing former communications director Ann Lovell, will look after oversight and direction of public and media relations, social media, crisis communication and reputation management.

Smith has more than 10 years of experience in the communication.

Erdman Names VP of Real Estate Development

Erdman has announced that Greg Markvluwer is its new vice president of real estate development.

Markvluwer will now lead the development and execution of Erdman’s real estate development strategy. He was previously employed for 19 years by the Granger Group.

Holleran Announces New Executive Director of Client Services

Holleran has hired Sara Baker as an executive director of client services.

In her new role, Baker will help leads Holleran’s client services operations, which includes oversight of research activities. Before joining the firm, Baker worked in the quality department at The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP).
