Benchmark Hires Chief Marketing Officer

Benchmark has added to its senior leadership team Heather Frahm, who joins the company in the newly created role of chief marketing officer.

Frahm’s main duties lie with Benchmark’s brand strategy, advertising, market research, marketing communications, customer experience and marketing automation. She also will be contribute to the company’s overall innovation strategy.

Frahm is the co-founder of Catalyst, a search engine marketing firm that works with Fortune 500 companies. Global ad conglomerate WPP bought the firm in 2006, and Frahm worked as the company’s president until 2013. She also worked as an assistant vice president for BankBoston’s commercial lending financial institutions group before co-founding Catalyst in 1998.

LaSalle Group Names VP of Accounting and Finance

The LaSalle Group, which operates 44 communities under the Autumn Leaves brand, has promoted Scott Chrimes to vice president of accounting and finance.

Chrimes will oversee the company’s accounting functions in his newly expanded role, while also sometimes advising executives on financing, recapitalizations and capital strategy. He’s also tasked with being a liaison with investors and lenders while holding onto his responsibility as treasurer.

Before joining LaSalle in 2018, Chrimes worked as CFO and controller for Lattimore Materials Company, a privately owned investment firm.

New Jewish Home Appoints Chief Development Officer

Health care system New Jewish Home recently named Alyssa Herman as its new chief development officer.

In the new role, Herman will lead the development team and directing all fundraising initiatives and campaigns. She also will help increase donor engagement and raise the organization’s awareness among others in the philanthropic community.

Herman was previously vice president of institutional advancement at Yeshiva University. She’s also spent time at Autism Speaks, Food Bank for New York City and Doctors Without Borders.

SantaFe Names Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing

Not-for-profit senior living provider SantaFe Senior Living has named Ramona Wilt as its corporate director of sales and marketing.

Wilt is now responsible for building sales and marketing infrastructure for all of SantaFe’ s properties and creating policies, procedures and processes. She has more than 20 years of experience in the senior living industry and more than 10 years of experience as a multi-state regional director.

Wilt is also an executive member of Argentum, a national senior living organization.

LCB Names Executive Director of Community to Open in Massachusetts

LCB Senior Living has named Jean Norte as executive director of The Residence at Penniman Hill, a senior living community slated to open this fall in Hingham, Massachusetts.

Before joining LCB, Norte worked more than a decade in the senior living industry in the southeast Massachusetts region.

Forthcoming Life Plan Community Hires Executive Director

Reata Glen, a forthcoming life plan community in Rancho Mission Viejo, California, has named Suzanne Nasraty as its executive director.

Nasraty, who will oversee the community’s day-to-day operations, has more than two decades of senior living experience in the state of California. She previously worked as an administrator for Park Vista Health Center in Fullerton and was the associate executive director at La Costa Glen in Carlsbad.

When it opens this spring, the community will have room for more than 600 residents.

Senior Star Welcomes Director of Nursing in Cincinnati

The Kenwood, a Senior Star community in Cincinnati, has named Amanda Cook as its director of nursing.

In her new role, Cook will look after the community’s nursing program with regard to state and federal compliance. She also will work with staff on amenities and programs with a focus on the community’s assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing programs.

Cook has 13 years of experience in the industry and previously worked for Otterbein SeniorLife.

Senior Living Communities Names Resident Care Coordinator in South Carolina

Kelly Paxton is now a resident care coordinator for Brightwater, a Senior Living Communities community in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Paxton has worked her way up to a management role in the senior living world, having previously worked as a CNA and med tech. Later, she worked as a memory care manager, an assisted living manager and an HR coordinator.

Erickson Living CCRC Announces New Associate Director of Sales

Oak Crest, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) managed by Erickson Living, promoted Dan Plakatoris to the role of associate director of sales.

Plakatoris has worked at Oak Crest for five years as sales manager. He previously worked as a customer relations representative for Baltimore Gas and Electric.

Senior Resource Group Names Sales Counselor in Texas

Senior Resource Group has opened an information center and named Raquel Hebben for Maravilla at The Domain, a 230-residence senior living community set to welcome residents this year in Austin, Texas.

Hebben has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having most recently worked for 14 years as vice president of membership for the Dominion Golf Club.

Bild & Co. Hires Director of Business Development

Senior housing consulting firm Bild & Co. recently recruited Isaac Losh to work as its director of business development.

In his new role, he will focus on developing strategic partnerships and new opportunities for the company. Prior to joining Bild & Co, Isaac founded consulting and advisory services company Losh Enterprises, which worked with investors, lenders, operators and developers of health care real estate and senior housing.

G5 Names VP of Senior Living Strategy

Real estate marketing firm G5 has made Jamison Gosselin its new vice president of senior living strategy.

Gosselin is now responsible for leading the company’s growth in the expanding senior living industry. He previously was the principal and executive consultant at Jamison Marketing & Communications, and also worked as senior vice president of marketing at Holiday Retirement, senior vice president of marketing with Argentum and senior director of corporate marketing for Sunrise Senior Living.

ALCA of New York Elects New President

The Aging Life Care Association (ALCA) of New York elected Anne Markowitz Recht as its new chapter president. Recht began her two-year term on Jan. 1, 2019.

She will lead the the 280-member chapter through education, professional development and ethical standards. Recht is the founder and CEO of AMR Care Group, a comprehensive care management and companion services company.
