South Bay, SageLife Join Forces for Pennsylvania Project

South Bay Partners, through its joint venture with LAMB Properties, has purchased a plot of land in Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania, on which it plans to build a four-story senior living community that will be managed by SageLife.

The community, Sage at Mattison Estates, will have 250 independent living, assisted living and memory care units with amenities such as an indoor pool, fitness center, yoga studio, bar and lounge areas, two theaters, an outdoor garden, dog wash and dog run, art studio, multiple dining venues and courtyard areas with barbecue grills, fire pits, seating and a putting green.

If all goes according to plan, workers will break ground on the project in February. Sage at Mattison Estates is currently set to open in the spring of 2021, with pre-leasing starting in spring of 2020.

Watercrest Plans Georgia Community

Watercrest Senior Living Group is continuing its expansion in the Southeast U.S. with a planned senior living community in Macon, Georgia.

The 107-unit community will have design elements and amenities such as a promenade, fireplace, water wall, salon and spa and multiple dining venues.

Watercrest is the developer, construction manager and operator of the project. If all goes according to plan, workers will break ground on the project in July, with a scheduled completion date in the fall of 2020.

Work Starts for Clearwater Community in Nevada

Clearwater Living, in partnership with Goldman Sachs, has announced the start of construction for an assisted living and memory care community at the Rancharrah master-planned development in Reno, Nevada.

The community, Clearwater at Rancharrah, will have 118 licensed assisted living residences that range from studio to one and two- bedrooms. The community’s amenities include a wellness center, private theater, activity venues and multiple dining options in addition to a lounge and pub.

Clearwater at Rancharrah is one of Clearwater Living’s “signature series” properties. Clearwater also operates Revel Rancharrah, an adjacent independent living community.

Construction Moving Along for Watercrest Project in Georgia

Watercrest Senior Living Group and Waypoint Residential have announced that construction is more than halfway done for Watercrest Newnan Assisted Living and Memory Care, a senior living community in Newnan, Georgia.

BL Harbert International is handling construction for the 107-unit senior living community, which is scheduled to welcome residents in June if all goes according to plan. The community will come with a spa, wine bistro and multiple dining venues, among other amenities.

North Carolina Community Celebrates Grand Opening

Waltonwood Lake Boone, an independent living, assisted living and memory care community from Waltonwood Senior Living in Raleigh, North Carolina, has opened its doors.

The 183-unit, $60 million property is owned and managed by Singh Senior Living, and comes with amenities for residents such as a movie theater, billiards and game room, cafe, fitness center, salon, courtyards, dog park and underground parking.

Age-Restricted Community Opens in Georgia

PulteGroup (NYSE: PHM) has announced the grand opening of Prescott in Acworth, an age-restricted 55-plus community in the Atlanta metro area.

The homes come in five open floor plans, ranging from two to four bedrooms each. The ranch-style homes are priced in the mid $300,000s.

Plans have been submitted for a 16-story senior living project in Portland, Oregon.

— Local officials have given the go-ahead to plans for an affordable senior housing project in Johnsburg, Illinois.

Construction crews are building a new 188-unit senior living community that is set to open in 2020 in Frisco, Texas.

Work has started on New Perspective Senior Living’s new 149-unit senior living community in a mixed-use baseball development in Franklin, Minnesota.
