Civitas Names First Chief Information Officer

Civitas Senior Living has promoted Nathan Bowyer to Chief Information Officer — the first such position in the company’s history.

Bowyer, formerly the company’s vice president of technology, is now responsible for finding and implementing technical solutions to solve a wide array of issues. His new role will also give him more influence on how technology affects Civitas’ mission.

The company also promoted Cassie Peteet to vice president of operations and Tanner Stierwalt to assistant vice president of operations.

Under the new title, Peteet will lead wellness and operations for each of the communities she has a hand in. And, Stierwalt will work directly with the operations executive team on project implementations, financial analysis, data delivery and formatting of policies and procedures.

LCB Senior Living Names New CFO

LCB Senior Living has hired Matt Quinn as its new chief financial officer.

Quinn will now help oversee the company’s financial reporting, investor services framework, tax and debt compliance and information technology. Previously, Quinn was a director at Cohn Reznick, where his practice focused on the assisted living industry. Overall, Quin has more than 20 years of public accounting experience.

LCB Senior Living also appointed two directors for its forthcoming Residence at Chadds Ford community in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

The company named Allison Mazza as sales and marketing director and Alicia Sheerin as director of business development.

Sheerin has more than 25 years of business development and marketing experience, and most recently worked as director of sales and marketing at Amana Senior Care in the Philadelphia area. Mazza has more than six years business development and marketing experience in the senior care sector.

Atlas Senior Living Appoints Chief Marketing Officer

Atlas Senior Living has promoted Greg Crutcher, its vice president of sales and marketing, to the role of chief marketing officer.

Crutcher first joined Atlas Senior Living in 2013, and has supported the company as it’s grown since then. Today, Atlas Senior Living has nine communities spread across Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Lifespace Names VP of Development, Design and Construction

Lifespace Communities has announced that Russell Mauk is its new vice president of development, design and construction.

Mauk is a California-licensed architect with 35 years of experience. He previously worked at senior housing nonprofit HumanGood, where he managed the redevelopment of eight senior living communities and the development of a new one.

Lifespace, a nonprofit, is the owner and operator of 12 senior living communities in seven states.

Arbor Hires Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

The Arbor Company has named Kelley Skarp to the role of senior vice president of sales and marketing.

In her new role, Skarp focuses on growth strategies utilizng analytical, budgeting, pricing and forecasting skills.

Skarp previously worked at Sunrise Senior Living, where she served in various sales roles over a decade, including as vice president of dales and marketing. She has also in her career managed large portfolios and led team collaborations.

Benchmark Names Executive Director for Massachusetts Community

Benchmark has named Jaime Girard as the executive director of River Ridge at Avon, an assisted living and memory care community in Avon, Connecticut.

Girard previously served in a variety of capacities for River Ridge’s sister community, The Village at Buckland Court, which is located in South Windsor, Connecticut.

New Jewish Home Names Chief Medical Officer

The New Jewish Home, a health care system serving older New Yorkers, has named Ed Wu as its as Chief Medical Officer.

Wu, who is an internal medicine physician, will direct the delivery of medical care for the 10,000 older adults the New Jewish Home services each year.

Before joining the New Jewish Home, Wu previously served as the chief medical officer of Spring Health.

Healthcare Management Partners Adds Senior Living Executive

Consultancy firm Healthcare Management Partners has appointed Stacey Swinney as a director.

In her new capacity, Swinney will focus on improving operations for the firm’s clients. Swinney most recently served as the executive vice president of operations at Omega Communities. She has also worked as executive director of several assisted living communities.
