AbiliT Taps Senior Housing Management to Run 8 Wisconsin Communities

Senior Housing Management will manage an eight-community portfolio in Wisconsin thanks to a newly announced arrangement with senior housing owner AbiliT Senior Living.

The Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based senior living operator on Jan. 14 will assume management of Milestone Senior Living communities in the Wisconsin towns of Cross Plains, Eagle River, Eau Claire, Hillsboro, Rhinelander, Stoughton, Tomahawk and Woodruff. All of the communities offer month-to-month apartment rentals and services for older adults needing assisted living, memory care and respite care.

Senior Housing Management has been on a growth spurt as of late. Earlier this year, the company also announced it will management of three AbiliT communities in Holstein, Lawton and Manning, Iowa, at the beginning of 2019. With today’s announcement and the previously announced ones, Senior Housing Management is set to operate 39 communities in total across the states of Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

AbiliT, which owns communities throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa, first acquired the Milestone portfolio in 2017 and placed it under the operation of Oxford Management, according to its website.

Rochester, Minnesota-based Oxford Management will continue to operate AbiliT’s other senior living communities, according to a representative for Senior Housing Management.

“Senior Housing Management is an industry leader in hospitality, resident programming and employee opportunity. We’re looking forward to bringing these positive changes to the residents and staff members in these eight Wisconsin communities owned by AbiliT,” stated Senior Housing Management COO and Senior Vice President Allison Law in a press release.
