Developer St. Joe, Operator Watercrest Team Up for Florida Project

The St. Joe Company (NYSE: JOE) and the Watercrest Senior Living Group are forming a joint venture to build and own a new assisted living and memory care community in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

As currently planned, the community will have 107 units and come with amenities such as multiple dining venues, a pool, spa, wellness programming with aquatic therapy and health education.

Construction on the new community is slated to begin next year, with an anticipated opening date by the end of 2020. St. Joe is expected to be the majority owner in the project, while Watercrest will manage community operations.

Wolff Breaks Ground on Arizona Community

The Wolff Company has broken ground on Revel Scottsdale, a forthcoming independent living community in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Current plans call for 157 studio, one-, and two-bedroom independent living residences and amenities that include a salon and spa, an outdoor saltwater pool and spa, a fitness studio and dining options from chef Beau MacMillan.

Revel Scottsdale is expected to open in late 2020. Wolff currently has 18 other senior living communities either under developed or currently open.

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living Nears Halfway Point in Redevelopment

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is close to the halfway mark for a $140 million expansion project (pictured above).

The expansion is set to include 190 rental apartments and a community center with amenities such as a fitness center, library, cafe, cinema and a performance center. The development also includes designating 257 beds for long term care, 105 for short-term rehab and 12 for behavioral health.

Construction started in mid-2017, and is expected to wrap up in late 2019.

Wolff Holds Grand Opening for Nevada Property

The Wolff Company has officially held a grand opening of Revel Nevada, a senior living community in Henderson, Nevada.

Revel Nevada has 146 one- and two-bedroom independent living residences alongside two guest suites. Amenities include a  salon and spa, fitness center, movie theater and multiple dining venues from chef Beau MacMillan.

The community first opened to residents earlier this year in April.

— Brightview Senior Living wants to build a new community with 165 units Wilton, Connecticut.

— A former school building in Harrison, Pennsylvania, is slated to undergo a $10 million renovation in order to become a 30-unit senior living community.

— Confluent Senior Living and Harbor Retirement Associates plan to open a 144-unit HarborChase community in Cordova, Tennessee.

— A senior living community with a planned 1,322 units is in the works for Chesterfield County, Virginia.

— Local officials in Caribou, Maine, have voted on a rezoning that will pave the way for a former school building to be turned into senior housing.

— Oakmont Senior Living is looking to build an 89-unit community in San Rafael, California.

— Plans call for a former courthouse to be converted into a 100-unit assisted living and memory care community in New Orleans.

— Watermark Senior Living is planning a 25-unit community in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

— A church is suing to turn a 21-story high it owns into a 200-unit senior living community in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

— A senior housing project with 162 units and “Scandinavian farmhouse aesthetics” and is under consideration in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park.

In progress

— Construction has begun for a 53-unit 55+ community in Cumberland, Maine.

Work is slated to begin in December on a 68-unit senior housing community in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.

— A 138-unit senior living community is now coming together in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

— Construction is underway for a $15 million expansion project to add 50 new units at a senior living community in Indianapolis.

— A 94-unit senior housing project is under construction in Peoria, Arizona.

Construction crews are now at work building a new senior living community in Winona, Minnesota.

— A 47-unit senior living community is coming together in Kearney, Nebraska.

Complete

— The first, 60-unit phase of a multiphase senior living project is open in Madison, Wisconsin.

— A 20-bedroom assisted living community has opened its doors in Near Welch, Minnesota.

— A 39-unit senior living community is now ready for residents in South Burlington, Vermont.
