LCB Senior Living Names New COO

LCB Senior Living has named Tim DuRoss as the company’s new COO.

In his new role, DuRoss will oversee LCB’s operations as the company continues its growth across New England and into New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. Previously, DuRoss held the role of CFO at LCB. Before that, he was with Benchmark Senior Living. Overall, DuRoss has 17 years of experience in the senior housing industry.

LCB owns and operates 18 communities in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut. The company also has four communities under construction in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, and others in the permitting stage.

Watercrest Group Names VP of Operations

Watercrest Senior Living Group has announced that Kerry Thurston is the company’s new vice president of operations.

As vice president of operations, Thurston will focus on making the company’s operations more efficient and seek to boost financial performance and quality standards for the multiple brands of senior living communities developed, owned, and operated by Watercrest Senior Living Group.

In her most recent position, Thurston worked as vice president of strategic operations for Senior Lifestyle Corporation. Overall, she has 15 years of experience developing and executing capital investment strategies, managing assets and overseeing senior living operations.

Cadence Living Hires VP of Operations for Southeast Region

Cadence Living has hired Mike Dollander as its new vice president of operations for its Southeast region.

In his new role, Dollander will seek to grow Cadence’s senior housing presence in the Southeast U.S.  Cadence currently has a hand in three projects in Atlanta, and one project in Nashville.

Prior to joining Cadence, Dollander worked for the PruittHealth Corporation, where he helped manage several assisted living portfolios in Georgia and South Carolina.

Cadence Living is currently developing, owns or operates senior living communities in California, Arizona and Colorado.

Washington Life Plan Community Names Executive Director

Heron’s Key, a life plan community in Gig Harbor, Washington, has named Amy Edwards Webb as its executive director.

In her new role, Webb will oversee the community’s day-to-day operations. The 18-acre community has 184 independent living apartment homes and 10 cottage homes alongside amenities such as multiple dining venues, a massage and day spa, fitness center, woodshop and walking trails.

Most recently, Webb served as CEO at Cascade Medical Center, where she managed hospital services and a family practice clinic. She has also served as vice president of clinical services at the Community Hospital of Anaconda.

Watermark Appoints Executive Director for Florida Community

Watermark Retirement Communities has hired David Schupack as the new executive director of Watermark at Trinity, an assisted living and memory care community in Trinity, Florida.

Schupack is tasked with overseeing the community’s daily operations and creating an engaging atmosphere for residents and loved ones.

Schupack first started his career with Watermark Retirement Communities as a dishwasher while he was still in high school. He spent some time on the home health and hospice industries, then came back to Watermark in 2014 at Watermark at East Hill in Southbury, Connecticut.

Dominion Names Leader for First Community in Louisville, Kentucky

Dominion Senior Living has named Erin Hosking to the role of principal executive director of its first community slated to open in Louisville, Kentucky, this December.

As part of her new duties, Hosking will manage community operations such as wellness, dietary, maintenance and sales and marketing. The new community will have 41 assisted living and 20 memory care apartments.

Hosking previously worked for Traditions at Beaumont Senior Living, where she was community relations director for seven years.

Arizona Life Plan Community Gets Associate Executive Director

Sagewood, a resort-style life plan community in Phoenix, has named Edmund Smith as associate executive director.

In his new role, Smith will assist executive director Stewart Ingram in managing Sagewood’s general operations.

Smith, who has more than 14 years of industry experience, most recently served as vice president of operations for Mainstreet Health, where he managed daily operations of four senior living communities in Arizona.

Alliance Residential Appoints Managing Director for Southern California

Alliance Residential has promoted Kim Bucklew to the role of managing director for Southern California.

She is now responsible for multifamily and senior housing production in California markets that include Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and the Inland Empire.

Before her promotion, Bucklew was Alliance’s managing director of development in Atlanta. Overall, she brings 13 years of experience in multifamily development to her new role.

Love Funding Names New Senior Director of Originations

Love Funding, an FHA multifamily, affordable and healthcare financing firm, has named Eric Forguson as a senior director of originations. Forguson is set to join the Love Funding team in St. Louis as part of his appointment.

Forguson has more than 25 years of experience in banking, historic tax credit and low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) transactions. He previously worked for Love Funding’s parent company, Midland States Bank, as an associate director of commercial banking.
