Tech Beat: OnShift Launches Text-Based Recruiting Software, K4Connect Partners with Large CCRC

OnShift Announces Text-Based Recruiting Software

Cleveland-based OnShift launched a new text message service intended to streamline how senior care companies recruit new talent.

OnShift Text2Hire will leverage artificial intelligence to automatically book interviews with job applicants via text message. This will allow hiring managers to schedule interviews and minimize no-shows by immediately engaging with candidates, instead of spending time trying to connect with them through phone calls and email.

Respondents to a recent OnShift survey on hiring by senior living providers revealed 37% of providers struggle with scheduling a qualified candidate for an interview, the majority of candidates prefer to be contacted via text message and 90% of text messages are read within three minutes.

Text2Hire allows hiring managers to instantly schedule qualified candidates and keep them engaged throughout the recruitment process, monitor candidate progress including contact rate, interviews scheduled and job offers made, and be instantly notified of issues and inquiries needing immediate attention.

Early adopters of Text2Hire have realized 50% faster time-to-hire and 60% fewer interview no-shows, OnShift says. The senior care industry has over 32,000 open positions and a turnover rate north of 50%.
