Caring.com Names Jim Rosenthal as New CEO

Senior housing referral service Caring.com named Jim Rosenthal as its new CEO on Monday. Rosenthal, who replaces former CEO Karen Cassel, previously served as Caring.com’s executive chairman. He’s also a partner at Caring Holdings LLC, the private equity group that acquired Caring.com in May.

“Jim’s a strategic and creative entrepreneurial leader who will build upon the achievements of Caring’s strong team to accelerate the company’s growth,” David Wong, one of Caring’s board members, said in a press release. “We appreciate the significant contributions that Karen has made over the course of her tenure, including her professionalism through the company’s leadership transition.”

Rosenthal has previously worked at Booz Allen & Hamilton, New Line Cinema, Kaplan, Inc., and Performance Matters.

Integral Senior Living Names Director of Sales and Marketing for Travanse Living at Grayslake

Travanse Living at Grayslake, a senior housing community operated by Integral Senior Living in Grayslake, Illinois, recently named Lauren Schlicht its director of sales and marketing.

Schlicht previously served in a variety of marketing and patient care roles at Northwestern Medicine, Crystal Pines Health Care and Fairhaven Senior Services.

EPOCH Senior Living Names Director of Sales and Marketing at Waterstone at the Circle

Waterstone at the Circle, a senior housing community operated by EPOCH Senior Living in Boston, Massachusetts, recently named Samantha Rihbany as director of sales and marketing. She most recently served as marketing and sales director for an independent, assisted living and memory care community in Ashland, Massachusetts.

Dial Retirement Communities Names Executive Director for Flatirons Terrace

Dial Retirement Communities recently named Kim Kay executive director of Flatirons Terrace, a 54-unit independent living community in Boulder, Colorado. The community is one of 17 communities operated by Dial.

Kay previously served as the executive director of Arbors of San Marino in Westminster, Colorado.

Sherpa CRM Names Chief Customer Officer

Jennifer Dixon recently joined Sherpa CRM as its first ever chief customer officer. Dixon most recently acted as Benchmark Senior Living’s vice president of sales.

ERDMAN Names New Senior Vice President-Senior Living

Madison, Wisconsin-based health care company ERDMAN recently named Todd Hudgins as its new senior vice president-senior living.

In previous roles, Hudgins has represented the senior housing industry as an owner, operator, investor, and technology consultant.

“ERDMAN is a recognized leader in Healthcare and Senior Living solutions. Todd joining the team, further enhances our commitment to the industry, our clients and most importantly, the communities we serve,” President and COO Rustin Becker said in a press release.

The Legacy Senior Communities Names Jewish Community Liaison 

The Legacy Senior Communities—the Dallas-based parent company of The Legacy Willow Bend, The Legacy at Home and The Legacy Midtown Park—recently named Elise Power as Jewish community liaison.

Power’s appointment comes as the company looks to further develop and maintain Jewish connections in the Greater Dallas area, according to a press release.

Perkins Eastman Names New Principal in Chicago Office

Architecture firm Perkins Eastman recently named C. Carson Shearon EDAC, LEED AP as a principal in its Chicago office. Accordingly, Shearon will lead, grow, and develop the health care practice in the Chicago area, as well as lead Perkins Eastman’s international health care strategy.

Shearon has over two decades of experience in the fields of architecture and medical science. He previously served as a principal and senior leader in the health practice at CannonDesign.

Koelsch Communities Promotes Two Leaders to New Positions

Washington-based Koelsch Communities recently promoted Cyndie Bryant from senior vice president to executive vice president, and Eva Arant from regional director of operations to senior vice president.

Bryant has worked at Koelsch for almost 20 years, joining in 1999 as director of resident services. Arant originally joined Koelsch Communities in 2008.
