Wolff Plans Independent Living Apartments in Arizona

Private equity firm and developer The Wolff Company has bought property in Scottsdale, Arizona, with plans to develop a new senior community there under the name Revel Scottsdale.

The planned community’s design will be inspired by its sister property, Revel Nevada, a 146-unit property in Henderson, Nevada. When finished, the new project will come with amenities such as a commercial kitchen, dining room and bistro, resort-style saltwater pool and spa, a fitness center, modern club room and a media lounge.

Moving forward, Wolff Company will continue to develop senior living communities in Arizona and throughout the western U.S.

Watercrest Senior Living Group, Titan Development Announce Florida Project

Watercrest Senior Living Group and Titan Development Real Estate Fund I are developing a new senior living community in Winter Park, Florida.

The community, dubbed Watercrest Winter Park Assisted Living and Memory Care, is slated to have 107 units and come with resort-style amenities such as a promenade, pool, fireplace, water wall, multiple dining venues, children’s play space and grand balconies. The community will also have a faux-outdoor “Market Street Plaza” streetscape.

D2 Architecture designed the community, with Walker and Company slated to begin construction this fall. Watercrest Winter Park is currently on track for an an opening date in late 2019.

Titan Development Real Estate Fund I is a $200 million private equity real estate fund founded in 2017. This is the second senior living development project partnered between Watercrest and Titan Development. The two companies’ first project, Watercrest Columbia Assisted Living and Memory Care, is currently under construction in Columbia, South Carolina.

Mather’s $460 Million High-Rise Community to Include Smart Home Tech

Mather LifeWays’ newest high-rise project, a $460 million community in Tysons, Virginia, dubbed The Mather, will prominently feature smart-home technology.

Mather is looking to integrate smart home technology, such as voice-enabled personal assistants, into all of the The Mather’s apartment homes. Overall, the Evanston, Illinois-based company is planning to build a 668,435-square-foot life plan community with 300 independent living units, 78 assisted living units, skilled nursing beds and memory support.

Work Starts for Colorado Senior Housing Community

Construction has started for The Lodge at Grand Junction, a Rocky Mountain Senior Housing and WellAge senior living community in Grand Junction, Colorado.

As planned, The Lodge at Grand Junction is a 48-unit assisted living and memory care community. Amenities include a two-story entry lobby, multiple dining venues, gym, salon and spa, on-site wellness clinic and a greenhouse for assisted living residents. The community also will have a theater room, computer room, library and multipurpose room with a kitchen residents can use.

OZ Architecture designed the community, whole Shaw Construction is the general contractor for the project. Bow River Capital Partners worked with Pacifica Capital Investments and Rocky Mountain Senior Housing as equity partners, and Bank of Colorado Glenwood Springs provided financing.

The Lodge at Grand Junction is currently set to open in the summer of 2019.

Dominium Announces Grand Opening for Minnesota Community

Dominium is set to hold a grand opening celebration on July 18 for The Legends of Champlin, a 184-units affordable senior housing community in Champlin, Minnesota.

The apartment homes at The Legends of Champlin all have large floor plans, walk-in closets and nine-foot ceilings. Amenities include heated underground parking, a beauty salon, theater room, fitness center, community room with a fireplace, and a craft and card room. The community also has a landscaped courtyard with a firepit, outdoor seating areas, a dog park and walking paths.

— A former golf course in Cleveland is slated to house a 39-bed assisted living community.

In progress

— A new assisted living and memory care community with a “family-style environment” is coming together in Springboro, Ohio.

— Construction is steadily moving forward for a 242-unit senior housing complex in Centerville, Ohio.

— Compass Senior Living is building an 84-unit assisted living and memory care community in Central Point, Oregon.

Work is progressing for The Blake at Pensacola, a 119-unit assisted living and memory care community in Pensacola, Florida.

Complete

— After roughly two years of construction, a new assisted living home has opened in North Haven, Maine.
