Eversound Partners With JEA Senior Living

Eversound, a Boston-based provider of hearing technology and resident engagement solutions for senior housing communities, has partnered with Vancouver, Washington-based JEA Senior Living, which operates more than 50 senior housing across the United States.

As part of the partnership, JEA Senior Living will be making Eversound available to residents at all of its communities.

My Life Software Developed for Seniors Using Amazon Alexa

Concord, New Hampshire resident Chris Stakutis is working on new software for the Amazon Alexa personal assistant, Alexa, that’s meant to help seniors keep in touch with their families and maintain their health.

The software—My Life—reads text messages from family and friends, reads through the news and enables the user to send messages to a list of friends and family members, but also asks questions about the user’s health.

“My mission is to keep people connected and connected to life,” Stakutis told the Wicked Local.

InTouchLink Launches InTouchRx Division to Provide Pharmacy Portal

InTouchLink recently launched its newest division to provide a pharmacy portal and pharmacy-community data bridge to long-term care pharmacies in the U.S. and Canada.

The new division will be called InTouchRx and will concentrate specifically on collaborating with pharmacies to improve their engagement with senior housing communities, increase their transparency and provide a consolidated collection of all pharmacy-community data.

“For the first time, there’s a product that specifically focuses on the relationship between pharmacies and senior living communities and the requirement for so much data to flow efficiently between the two

VoiceFriend Solution is Now Amazon Alexa-Enabled

VoiceFriend, LLC, recently announced that its automated notification solution is now Amazon Alexa-enabled.

Consequently, senior housing communities and skilled nursing facilities using VoiceFriend can communicate notices and other information to residents, family members and staff through voice-activated Amazon Alexa devices.

Specifically, with VoiceFriend’s new Alexa skill, residents can access and listen to daily menus and schedules, learn about upcoming activities and events, and receive notices and appointment reminders. Family members can also listen to community information, alerts and appointments.

Additionally, administrators can communicate shift changes, call-outs and certification training information to staff members via their Alexa-enabled devices to streamline communications, according to VoiceFriend.
