Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation Elects New Board Members
Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC), a non-profit organization that sponsors and operates six senior living communities in Texas and Indiana, has elected Bernard “Bernie” DiFiore and Laurie Dotter to its board of directors.
DiFiore has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services and benefits industries. Previously, he served as the chairman and CEO of BenefitMall, where he oversaw the company’s strategic direction, planning and execution.
Dotter, who has spent 25 years building and managing real estate investment organizations, is the former president of Transwestern Investment Group. There, she looked after investment strategy, acquisition and asset management for the real estate investment management firm.
Tutera Promotes Burgess to Chief Medical Officer
Tutera Senior Living and Health Care has promoted Dr. Anthony “Tony” Burgess to the role of chief medical officer.
Burgess will now lead Tutera’s clinical teams to oversee policy, training and protocols. Previously, he served as corporate medical director, a position that oversaw community-based medical directors at Tutera’s 47 communities in 13 states. Before joining Tutera, Burgess served the provider’s residents as a consulting physiatrist.
He also currently serves as a member of the leadership, membership and innovations Committee for the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA).
American House Names Vice President of Sales and Revenue Enhancement
American House Senior Living Communities promoted Traci Taylor to the position of corporate vice president of sales and revenue enhancement.
Taylor is now set to lead the sales strategy and execution for American House’s portfolio of more than 55 properties. She brings to the new role more than 20 years of sales and operations experience.
Taylor first joined American House in 2016 as vice president of operations for the company’s Florida region.
Oasis Senior Advisors Names Vice President of Franchise Development
Oasis Senior Advisors has promoted Sharon Cupach to the role of vice president of franchise development.
In the new position, Cupach will work to find franchisees and give them the tools to help prospective residents and their loved ones find the right senior living community for them. Previously, Cupach worked for three different franchisors and as an independent consultant before joining Oasis in 2014.
Assisted Living Locators Adds Franchise Development Leader
Senior care provider and referral agency Assisted Living Locators has named Tom Ingle as the company’s newest franchise development director.
Ingle will work alongside Mary Ann Russo to develop the growth of the franchise organization. Assisted Living Locators has 80 franchise locations in 28 states, including Washington, D.C., and is on track to hit 100 by year’s end.
Sodalis Appoints New Executive Directors
Sodalis Senior Living has welcomed new executive directors at two of its communities in Austin and San Antonio, Texas.
The provider hired Jake Wycoff to manage Sodalis of Stone Oak’s business and day-to-day operations, sales initiatives and staffers. Wycoff has worked in the senior living and health care industry at communities in Texas and Arizona since 2010.
Sodalis also hired Teresa Smith to serve as executive director for its Sodalis of Dripping Springs memory care community. In her new role, Smith will also manage that community’s business and day-to-day operations, sales initiatives and employees.
Genacross Lutheran Services Appoints Executive Director in Ohio
Genacross Lutheran Services recently named Laura Etter as executive director for the Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Napoleon, Ohio.
In her new role, Etter will manage the CCRC’s day-to-day operations, community outreach and business development.
EPOCH Names Wellness Director for Forthcoming Massachusetts Community
EPOCH Senior Living has named Dawn Bruce as wellness director of Bridges by EPOCH at Sudbury, a memory care and assisted living community slated to open in Sudbury, Massachusetts, later this year.
Once the community opens, Bruce will lead the community’s team of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants in providing care to residents. Bruce has 16 years of nursing experience at hospitals and senior living communities in Massachusetts and South Carolina, and most recently served as resident care director for another senior living community in Massachusetts.
Frampton Construction Adds Senior Superintendent
Frampton Construction, a regional construction firm with senior living clients throughout North and South Carolina, has hired Paul Mattaliano as a senior superintendent.
Previously, Mattaliano served as general superintendent for the Memorial Hospital West Project for the ANF Group, Inc., in Florida. He will be based out of the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina, office.
