Netsmart Launches EHR for Senior Living Continuum of Care
Netsmart recently announced a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform called myUnity, which is designed to serve the entire care continuum of care at senior housing providers and at home.
Specifically, the myUnity platform goes beyond a traditional EHR by leveraging the most strategic components of the existing Netsmart senior living, home care and hospice solutions into a unified enterprise platform. It combines the unique requirements of each care setting and provides processes and workflows designed to specifically address value-based care for organizations of every size.
“Solutions designed only for a fee-for-service model are creating barriers for providers who are trying to succeed in today’s evolving payment environment,” Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine said in a press release. “We see the need to provide our clients with the technology solutions they require to remain competitive as health systems and payers continue to narrow their referral networks.”
Eversound Partners with Nine Highgate Senior Living Communities
Eversound, a company that provides hearing technology and resident engagement solutions for senior living communities, recently announced its partnership with Issaquah, Washington-based Highgate Senior Living, which operates nine total independent living, assisted living and memory care communities.
As part of the partnership, Highgate Senior Living will be implementing Eversound at all nine of its properties.
“To continue to be an industry-leading organization, we recognized a need to explore new ways to help assist our residents in being able to increase engagement in our programs. We have many residents with a wide range of hearing challenges and we knew if they were able to hear what was being said, they would be more involved,” Angie Larrabee, life enhancement programming manager at Highgate Senior Living, said in a press release. “Once we saw how simple Eversound was and the impact it would have, we were sold and had to have it. We are excited about providing Eversound to enhance our residents’ lives.”
Cubigo Expands into U.S. Senior Housing Marketplace
Belgium-based Cubigo, a technology company that aims to modernize senior housing communities, recently announced its expansion into the United States due to $4.5 million in venture capital funding.
The Series A was led by Urbain Vandeurzen, a Belgian investor that concentrates on tech startups, with participation from Transvision. Cubigo is introducing its cloud-based platform to the senior housing space with this new capital.
With Cubigo, senior housing residents can request help from maintenance, order meals, or view their community’s activity calendar and sign-up for events. Residents can also send messages to the staff and read real-time community news.
Additionally, Cubigo recently became an Apple mobility partner and announced a strategic partnership with Lyft, whose API will be integrated into the Cubigo platform so residents can use it to schedule transportation.
