Lancaster Pollard Names New Senior Managing Director

Lancaster Pollard has promoted Jason Dopoulos to the role of senior managing director.

Dopoulos, who has been with the firm since 2007 and has managed its health care bankers in the Southwest since 2013, will now also oversee banking efforts for Lancaster Pollard in the Northwest.

In addition to his time with Lancaster Pollard, Dopoulos has served as the chair of the National Investment Center (NIC) Future Leaders Council.

Lancaster Pollard is a subsidiary of ORIX USA Corporation that offers investment banking, mortgage banking, private equity, balance sheet financing and M&A advisory services for senior living and health care providers.

Ziegler Adds Managing Director

Chicago-based specialty investment bank and full-service brokerage firm Ziegler recently added Donald Husi as managing director for its investment banking team.

Husi has more than 32 years of experience in senior living industry operations, REIT and finance sectors, and will be located in the firm’s Nashville office.

Prior to joining Ziegler, Husi spent more than 16 years in operations with Brookdale Senior Living. He is also a former licensed nursing home administrator in multiple states and has turn-around and distressed asset operational experience.

Argentum Announces New VP of Workforce Development

Argentum has named Brent Weil as its vice president of workforce development.

In the newly created role, Weil will focus on the challenges and opportunities facing the senior living industry in professional development, as well as recruiting and retaining dedicated workers to care for seniors.

Weil brings to his new job 15 years of experience developing solving recruitment challenges. Most recently, he worked as senior vice president of education and workforce for The Manufacturing Institute, a subsidiary of the National Association of Manufacturers in Washington, D.C.

Morning Pointe Senior Living Hires Director of Business Optimization

Morning Pointe Senior Living has named Summer Blizzard to the role of director of business optimization.

Her new responsibilities include overseeing the analysis of business and clinical systems, processes, data reporting and training across all departments. She joins Morning Pointe’s Chattanooga, Tenessee-based home office team.

Blizzard came to Morning Pointe from Elmcroft Senior Living’s corporate office in Louisville, Kentucky, where she held leadership positions in organizational development, marketing strategy, business analysis and information systems.

Charter Senior Living Appoints Executive Director of Georgia Community

Jan Park was recently named executive director of Camellia Walk, an assisted living and memory care community managed by Charter Senior Living Community in Evans, Georgia.

Park, a licensed administrator in North Carolina and Virginia and an assisted living manager in Maryland, brings to the role 15 years of professional leadership.

Charter Senior Living first took over the management of Camellia Walk in July 2017.

Watercrest Names Executive Director of Florida Memory Care Community

Watercrest Senior Living Group recently hired Julia Zoss as the executive director of its Market Street Memory Care Residence in Viera, Florida.

In her new role, Zoss will lead the 60-unit senior living community, which offers a multitude of amenities, multi-sensory programming and care for seniors living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Zoss has more 13 years of combined leadership experience in assisted living, memory care, and hospice, including time spent as a nurse for the U.S. Department of Defense.

California Health Center Appoints New Administrator

Zach Gray was named administrator for GlenBrook Health Center in Carlsbad, California, the company announced. GlenBrook provides health care services to locals as well as to residents of La Costa Glen Carlsbad, the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) adjacent to the health center.

As administrator of the health center, Gray will oversee the day-to-day operations of GlenBrook, including resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, financial management and employee engagement.

Gray most recently served as the associate executive director at Sedgebrook Retirement Community in Chicago and the administrator for the Residences at Thomas Circle in Washington, D.C.

WESTliving Community in California Welcomes Sales and Marketing Manager

Bella Villaggio, a 148-unit WESTliving senior living community in the works for Palm Desert, California, recently named Brad Harker as its sales and marketing manager.

Harker, who has more than eight years of experience, has worked with community-based groups such as ACT1 and Desert Oasis Health Care.

Bella Villaggio opened an information center and began model unit tours in December, 2017, and is slated to open in the fall of 2018.
