Hillcrest Names New Chief Medical Officer
Hillcrest Health Services, a Bellevue, Nebraska-based provider of assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing services, has appointed Anthony Hatcher, DO, FAAFP, as its first chief medical officer.
Hatcher will work to establish care protocols and clinical pathways, collaborating with Hillcrest’s existing medical directors, to ensure continuity of care across the entire Hillcrest organization.
Hatcher spent more than 20 years working for Alegent/CHI Health system as a practicing clinical physician. He also served on the Alegent Health board of directors and as the chief administrative officer of Alegent Health Clinic.
In addition to being Hillcrest’s CMO, Hatcher will also serve as the medical director for Hillcrest Millard, which is scheduled to open in January, and Hillcrest Firethorn, which recently opened in Lincoln.
Digerness, Paradis Assume Director Roles at Erickson Living Communities
Catonsville, Maryland-based Erickson Living has named Paula Digerness has the new executive director of Seabrook, an Erickson Living retirement community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
She took over this role on October 20, replacing Todd DeLaney, who recently transitioned to his new role as executive director of Cedar Crest, an Erickson Living community in Northern New Jersey.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in senior living and business management to her new position. For two years she served in a leadership position as associate executive director at Seabrook. Prior to this position, she served as executive director and administrator of a continuing care retirement community in Bradbury, California.

In her new role, she will manage daily operations at the 98-acre community whose 1,400 residents are served by more than 830 employees.
Erickson Living has also named Justin Paradis associate executive director at Brooksby Village in Peabody, Massachusetts, one of two Erickson Living developed and managed sites in the Boston area.
Paradis has been with Erickson Living since 2006, beginning his tenure as a physical therapist.
Eversound Co-Founders Named in Forbes ’30 Under 30’ List
Eversound co-founders Jake Reisch, Matt Reiners and Devin Jameson join the ranks of Forbes magazine’s 2018 “30 Under 30” list, being named as “innovators” in the Consumer Technology cateogry.
The Boston-based company manufactures wireless headphones to help seniors age 75 and up hear better and become more engaged in senior living communities.
The company is a graduate of Cornell University’s eLab Accelerator, launching in November 2016. To date, the company has provided more than 30,000 older adults with their brand of wireless headphones.
Ryan Companies Promotes Wilson to VP of Real Estate Development
Naperville, Illinois-based Ryan Companies US, Inc. has promoted Tyler Wilson to vice president of real estate development.
In his new role, he leads the multifamily and senior living real estate development efforts for Ryan’s Southwest region. Specifically, he is responsible for site selection and acquisition, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, municipal approvals and design and construction coordination of his portfolio of projects for Ryan.
Wilson brings 16 years of real estate experience to the company, and has more than 700,000 square feet of multifamily and senior living developments underway.
He is a certified commercial investment member (CCIM), an active member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a past president of the Men’s Arts Council.
Benchmark Senior Living Welcome New Team Members to Communities
Waltham, Massachusetts-based Benchmark Senior Living has named Carol Sikora as the new family advisor and director of community relations at its River Ridge at Avon community in Avon, Connecticut, as well as its Village at Buckland Court community in South Windsor, Connecticut.
In her new role, Sikora will serve as a resource for finding the right residential fit for each prospective resident.
She has previous experience in the hotel industry, and has worked for more than 30 years in Massachusetts, Connecticut and California.
Also joining Sikora at River Ridge is Holly Neddermann, who will serve as the community’s new executive director.
She previously served as River Edge’s community relations director, and subsequently director of its memory care unit. After completing Benchmark’s Emerging Leaders program, Neddermann became interim executive director at River Ridge.
Neddermann owned a home services company for eight years after working in a corporate aviation department for 20 years.
Meanwhile, certified dementia practitioner Kristen St. Jean has joined Greystone Farm at Salem, a Benchmark Senior Living Community in Salem, New Hampshire, as executive director.
She began her career in the senior living industry as a resident care nurse, and then as the director of Greystone Farm’s memory care neighborhood. After completing Benchmark’s Emerging Leaders Program in 2015, she became the executive director of The Atrium at Drum Hill, a Benchmark memory care community in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
