Benchmark Senior Living Coming to Marlborough, Massachusetts

Benchmark Senior Living is opening a new assisted living community in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

The provider is seeking approval from local officials to open a new 104-bed community, reports the MetroWest Daily News. It’s not clear when construction might begin.

Provider Plots Expansion of Cleveland Community

Danbury Senior Living, a provider of assisted living services in Ohio and Pennsylvania, is seeking to add 29 units to its 101-unit community in Cleveland. The project would cost $2.5 million, according to Cleveland.com, a local news site.

Senior Resource Group Plans to Build in New Mexico

A new assisted living, independent living and memory care community is in the works for Albuquerque, New Mexico. Senior Resource Group is seeking approval from local officials to build a 180-unit development, according to the Albuquerque Journal.

Towering Community Planned in Florida

A developer has plans to build a high-rise senior community in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The community will have 401 rooms that offer assisted living, independent living and memory care services, reports the SunSentinel.

Caddis Plans Community in Wisconsin

Dallas-based Caddis is opening a 105-unit senior living community in Glendale, Wisconsin.

Pathway Senior Living will manage the forthcoming community, reports BizTimes.

Clearwater Living to Open California Community

Clearwater Living recently announced the purchase of a 3.5-acre parcel of land in Rohnert Park, California, for the development of a 90-unit assisted living and memory care community.

The community, Clearwater at Sonoma Hills, is scheduled to open in early 2019, according to a press release.

LifeSpire of Virginia Breaks Ground on Expansion of Virginia CCRC

Work is now underway to renovate a decades-old CCRC in Northern Virginia.

LifeSpire of Virginia is building 133 new assisted living, independent living and memory care units at its CCRC in Culpeper, Virginia, according to a press release. The construction project will also include an outdoor courtyard, country kitchens, made-to-order dining options, an on-site clinic, chapel, on-site physical therapy, a wellness gym, and a health and beauty spa.

The work was made possible in part by an $18 million loan from SunTrust Bank.

Wake Robin CCRC Begins $39 Million Expansion

The operators of Wake Robin, a life plan community in Shelburne, Vermont, broke ground on a $39 million project that includes construction of a new apartment building, a larger community center and updates to a health center.

New residents will begin moving into the new apartment in the fall of 2018, according to a press release. The entire project is expected to be completed by July 2019.

Lecesse Construction Company is the project’s general contractor.

Living Care Lifestyles Breaks Ground on California Community

Living Care Lifestyles on Sept. 7 celebrated the groundbreaking of Quail Park at Shannon Ranch, a new active senior living community in Visalia, California.

When it opens in 2019, Quail Park at Shannon Ranch will offer independent and memory care services, according to a press release. Plans call for 120 rooms with an overall capacity for 140 residents.

Amenities will include a bistro, pub, dining room with private dining, a fitness and wellness area with a pool, sports den and activity center, a 24-seat movie theater, a library, meditation areas, a virtual game room, outdoor patios, and trail access.

New Memory Care Services Coming to in Michigan

A new $8 million memory care community is opening in Kalamazoo, Michigan, reports MLive.com.

The 45,000-square-foot community will hold at least 61 residents and is expected to be ready for move-ins next year.

Work Underway for Sagora Senior Living Community in California

Sagora Senior Living recently broke ground on a 226-unit community in Rocklin, California, according to a press release.

The community will have rental cottages and apartments that offer independent living, assisted living and memory care, and residents will have access to a variety of amenities.

Groundbreaking Held for Florida Community

Work recently began for Canterfield of Fort Myers, an independent living, assisted living and memory care community in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to a press release.

The community is being developed and managed by Medical Development Corp., an Atlanta-based senior living development and management firm.

HHHunt Opens ‘Cottage’ Memory Care Community in Virginia

HHHunt recently held a grand opening for its new Spring Arbor Cottage community in Richmond, Virginia.

Spring Arbor Cottage of Richmond can house up to 48 residents and offers a “cottage” model of service for memory care residents.

The community is made up of three interconnected cottages specially designed and built for seniors living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, according to a press release.

Oak Crest in Illinois Completes Redesign Project

An Oak Crest community in DeKalb, Illinois, just finished up a renovation led by local firm KDI Design, according to a press release.

The community has an “inviting lobby” with a reading corner and fireplace a cafe and a fitness center with an indoor swimming pool.

Providence Living Opens Community in Florida

Providence Living has opened a 112-bed assisted living and memory care community in Stuart, Florida.

The community has amenities such as restaurants, a spa and exercise rooms, a resort-style pool, a shaded tai chi court and several courtyards, according to a press release.

It was built with Prescient, a BIM design and building technology platform.

LCB Opens New Community in Massachusetts

A new independent living, assisted living and memory care community is open in Swampscott, Massachusetts.

The community, The Residence at Vinnin Square, is owned and operated by LCB Senior Living, according to a press release. Callahan Construction was the construction partner on the project.

Pathway to Living Community Poised to Open Near Chicago

A new 107-unit senior living community is set to open in Westmont, Illinois, on Sept. 27, according to a press release.

The community will offer assisted living, independent living and memory care services. It will also be the first in the country to offer Pathway to Living’s Spark of Life dementia care.

Kingfisher Senior Living has completed the first phase of Ella Springs Senior Living, a 62-unit assisted living community in Houston, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Phase two will include 120 independent living apartments, while the third phase would include a skilled nursing facility.
