Ridge Care Senior Living Expanding to South Carolina

Ridge Care Senior Living is moving into The Palmetto State.

The provider recently announced its first expansion into South Carolina with its new 100-unit Arbor Landing at Pawleys senior living community in Pawleys Island.

The opening is being funded through an $11.3 million loan provided by SunTrust Bank.

Redevelopment to Grow St. Louis Community

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America is redeveloping and expanding its Aberdeen Heights community in St. Louis.

As planned, the project includes 54 new independent living apartment homes known as The Brightons, according to a press release. That new building will include amenities such as underground parking, a lounge and a new dining venue.

The redevelopment project also includes 16 new skilled nursing suites, 18 memory care suites, a new chapel and a facelift for existing dining venues and amenities in common areas.

New Independent Living Community Planned in California

A new independent living community is scheduled to open next year in Ventura County, California.

Clearwater Senior Living recently announced its new 136-apartment Clearwater at RiverPark community, which will be located just off the 101 Freeway between the cities of Ventura and Camarillo.

Amenities will include a full-service dining room, an on-site spa, fitness center, saltwater pool, theater, putting green, and a salon. Residents can also bring along their pets and have access to pet-care services.

Affordable Apartments Going Up in Oregon

The city of Cornelius, Oregon, along with nonprofits Bienestar and Bridge Housing, are set to celebrate the groundbreaking of Cornelius Place, a multi-use development that will house 45 affordable apartments for adults age 55 and older.

The ceremony will happen on Sept. 23, according to a press release.

Work Underway for New Senior Apartments Near Detroit

Construction crews recently broke ground on a new a $25 million, 96-unit residence at Fox Run, a retirement community managed by Erickson Living in Novi, Michigan.

The expansion, Edison Place, will have a “U”-shaped design and have scenic views of nearby wetlands and wooded areas, according to a press release.

Crews Break Ground on Redevelopment of Canadian Housing

The city of Edson in Alberta, Canada, will soon have more access to affordable senior living.

The governments of Canada and Alberta are investing about $18.4 million for the renovation and construction of 82 units at the Parkland Lodge community in Edson. The development will cater to older adults on a limited income.

Parkland Lodge will be operated by the Evergreens Foundation and will have 105 apartments.

Benchmark Senior Living Completes First Phase for Connecticut Community

Benchmark Senior Living announced that the first phase of the Sturges Ridge of Fairfield community in Fairfield, Connecticut, is now complete.

Workers recently completed the foundation and steel framing for the forthcoming community, as well as the installation of utility connections, according to a press release.

The community is currently slated to open in September 2018. When it opens, Sturges Ridge of Fairfield will have 88 total units with access to underground parking and a rooftop patio.

Developer Breaks Ground on Senior Housing on the Jersey Shore

Developer Walters Group has started work on Cornerstone at Seaside, an age- and income-restricted apartment community in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

The community will have 91 apartments for seniors age 55 years or older, according to Multi-Housing News.

WellAge to Manage Colorado Community

WellAge Senior Living is slated to manage a forthcoming independent living, assisted living and memory care community in Ken Caryl, Colorado.

The Lodge at Ken Caryl have 138 apartments for seniors, reports My Prime Time Newspaper.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Sept. 19. The community is currently scheduled to open in the winter of 2018.

Texas Community Now Taking Residents

A new 159-unit assisted living, independent living and memory care community is now taking residents in Bryan, Texas.

The community, Parc at Traditions, includes 24-hour concierge service, table-side dining, wellness and activities programs, housekeeping, maintenance and transportation services.

Spectrum Retirement Opens Fourth Arizona Community

The very first residents this week moved into Spectrum Retirement’s newest community in Anthem, Arizona, which is just outside Phoenix.

The community, The Enclave at Anthem Senior Living, has 159 independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments and comes with access to “anytime dining,” classes, a full-service salon, and trips and events.
