It’s Never 2 Late Names New CFO

It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L), a developer of digital engagement technology for senior living community residents, has named Barbara Kandemir as its new chief financial officer.

In her new post, Kandemir will oversee finance, human resources, legal/compliance and office management for the company. She will also provide guidance on instructional leadership, administrative policy, budget development and implementation, and process improvement.

She has held financial executive positions across various industries, including her tenure with Aperture Credentialing, KnowledgeAdvisors, Intersect Solutions LLC and Capgemini. Outside of her career, she is also past president of the Community Health Nurse Association’s Women’s Auxiliary.

Erickson Living’s Windsor Run Appoints HR Director

Windsor Run, one of 19 continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) managed by Erickson Living, has appointed Allison Vessels as its new director of human resources. The Matthews, North Carolina, community is slated to open in spring 2018.

Vessels brings more than 24 years of human resources experience to her role, where she will oversee the daily operations of the community’s human resources department, focusing on employee recruitment and engagement.

LifeWell Senior Living Welcomes New COO

Houston-based senior housing operator LifeWell Senior Living has welcomed Kimberly Erickson as its new chief operating officer.

She brings more than 25 years of experience in the senior housing industry. She most recently served as chief operating officer of Denver-based MorningStar Senior Living, where she led its operations team through an eight-year growth phase.

Erickson is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Denver.

Oak Crest Names New Director of Continuing Care

Erickson Living’s Parkville, Maryland community, Oak Crest, has promoted Heather Uttenriether to director of continuing care.

She previously served as assistant administrator of continuing care at Charlestown, Erickson Living’s retirement community located in Catonsville, Maryland. 

She brings extensive experience in social work and senior living to Oak Crest, having served as a senior administrator with Genesis Healthcare. 

Caligor Named Senior Managing Director for Monticello Asset Management

New York-based Monticello Asset Management, LLC, a lender and investor specializing in the skilled nursing and assisted living industry, has welcomed Steven Caligor to its team as senior managing director.

In his new post, Caligor will be in charge of product development, expanding banking relationships and assisting with credit and risk management. 

He brings more than 30 years of commercial finance experience, having worked in various industries, including health care, real estate, technology and retail, among others. 

Prior to joining the firm, he served as division executive at Bank Hapoalim, where he oversaw its commercial real estate, food and commodities and corporate finance loan portfolio teams.

Ecumen Welcomes Two New VPs

Ecumen, a non-profit provider of senior housing and aging services, has welcomed two new vice presidents, William McGarry and Amy Korzenowski.

McGarry will serve as VP of IT and chief technology officer, overseeing company-wide information systems and technology. Prior to joining the team, he worked with Trissential. He has also held management roles at St. Jude Medical, Owens Corning and General Electric. McGarry holds a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio.

Korzenowski will serve as VP or operations for housing and nursing home communities. She has extensive experience in strategic management and leadership of quality of care programs in senior services. Previously, she served as assistant vice president of clinical operations at Prime Therapeutics, a Minneapolis pharmacy benefit management company. She has also held roles at Extendicare Health Services and Volunteers of America National Services.
