Smith/Packett has plans to build a $15 million assisted living community in Roanoke, Virginia.

The community, Pheasant Ridge Assisted Living, will open with 90 units, an on-site chef, round-the-clock concierge service and a variety of recreational activities, reports TV news station WDBJ7.

Senior Housing Planned in South Carolina

CR Senior Living has its sights set on Lady’s Island, South Carolina.

The provider is waiting on approval from local officials to open a senior living community with independent living, assisted living and memory care, reports the Beaufort Gazette.

SAGE to Manage New Community in Georgia

SAGE Management is slated to manage a community coming together in Powder Springs, Georgia.

Construction crews recently broke ground on the $37 million Silver Comet Village, a 154-unit community, reports the Marietta Daily Journal.

Red Leaf Development and Searles Realty Advisors will own the development, while WDG Construction Group will be the project’s general contractor. Construction is expected to last 18 months.

Hearth Development Breaks Ground on Minnesota Community

Construction has started for a new Hearth Development community in Elk River, Minnesota.

When it opens, Elk River Senior Living will have 74 independent and assisted living units and feature such amenities as restaurant-style dining, underground parking, a theater, hobby room and a bistro, reports Star News.

Expansion Project to Triple Size of Minnesota Community

A $65 million expansion project is projected to add three times as much room to the Norris Square senior living community in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.

The redevelopment will add a 64-unit independent living building and a 75-unit skilled nursing and memory care facility, according to the South Washington County Bulletin. The newly expanded community will open in the fall of 2018.

Senior Living Community Opens Near Chicago

A new Spectrum Retirement Communities location with independent living, assisted living and memory care units has opened its doors just outside Chicago.

The first wave of residents moved into Green Oaks Senior Living in Libertyville, Illinois, according to a press release. The community has nearly 200 apartments, all of which have access to a range of amenities and outdoor activities.

Green Oaks also offers its residents chef-prepared, on-demand dining, exercise and wellness programs and staff-planned trips and events.

Active Adult Community Arrives in Texas

A new age-restricted community for active adults has opened its doors in Sugar Land, Texas.

Overture Sugar Land has resort-style amenities like a coffee bar and bistro, fitness center, yoga studio, entertainment room, library and gaming area, according to a press release. The community also has a swimming pool and a hot tub.

Michigan Operator Holds Ribbon-Cutting for $7.5 Million Expansion

Wellspring Lutheran Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate a recently completed renovation project at its Saginaw Township, Michigan, independent living community.

The additions included more living units, updated dining rooms, a larger kitchen demonstration areas, a restaurant with a full menu, and wellness areas, according to WSGW, a news radio station.
