MGL Partners and Solvera Advisors to Turn Historic Denver Building into Senior Housing

MGL Partners and Solvera Advisors recently purchased the historic Tammen Hall building in Denver with the intention of turning it into affordable independent senior housing.

The repurposed Tammen Hall is scheduled for completion in early 2019. When it opens, it will have 49 rental apartments for income-qualified seniors 62 years of age and older, according to a press release.

The two developers are working with with The Neenan Company as the design-build partner.

Pinnacle Plots $50.6 Million Expansion at Virginia CCRC

Pinnacle Living is planning a major repositioning project at one of its life plan communities in Richmond, Virginia.

The company plans to build a new fitness and wellness building and upgrade its existing dining and other spaces, reports Virginia Business. The wellness center is slated to have space for lap swimming, aerobics and weight training.

The development project also will include 23 new assisted living apartments.

Carlton Senior Living Adding Memory Care to California Community

Carlton Senior Living is building a 30-unit memory care community adjacent to its independent living community in Concord, California.

The company bought a vacant lot for the new construction, according to the East Bay Times.

Provision Building New Michigan Community

Provision Senior Living has started work on a new senior living community at the site of a former school building in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

The owner and operator will build a $23 million assisted living and memory care community with 102 apartments and amenities, such as a beauty salon, exercise room, therapy space, movie theater, chapel, large common spaces and two dining rooms, according to a press release.

The community’s exterior design will feature landscaped courtyards, patios and walkways.

Silverstone Opens Memory Care Community in Florida

Silverstone Healthcare Company, a Dallas-based owner and developer of senior living communities, recently celebrated the grand opening of HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The new, 120-unit assisted living and memory care community is operated by Harbor Retirement Associates and features a living room, library, salon, spa and wellness center, according to a press release.

Proctor Construction Company was the project’s contractor, while BOKA Powell and Thoma-Holec Design served as architect and interior designer, respectively.

New Perspective Opens Community in North Dakota

New Perspective Senior Living has opened the doors to a new senior living community in West Fargo, North Dakota.

New Perspective Living of West Fargo has 131 apartments comprised of assisted living, independent living and memory care, according to a press release. The memory care wing of the community opened in May.

The community has a full-time chef, a restaurant-style main dining room, a cafe serving Starbucks coffee during breakfast and lunch, and a pub serving beer and wine with bi-weekly happy hours. Other amenities include a dance hall hosting weekly classes, a fitness center, a large heated pool for water aerobics and swim classes, a beauty salon and a community room.
