Senior Living Operator to Join Largest Nonprofit U.S. Health System

The largest Catholic health system in Illinois—which also operates 27 senior living communities and long-term care facilities—is set to be acquired by Ascension, the largest non-profit health system in the country.

Specifically, Chicago-based Presence Health will become part of Amita Health, a joint venture between Adventist Midwest Health and Alexian Brothers Health System.
