Clearwater Living Appoints Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Newport Beach, California-based Clearwater Living has appointed Kristine Delgado as senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Delgado brings 20 years of industry experience to her new role with Clearwater, where she will oversee the organization’s daily sales and marketing operations, as well as manage the advancement of the the Clearwater brand.

Prior to joining Clearwater Living, Delgado served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for MBK Senior Living in Irvine, California. Throughout her career, Delgado has overseen more than 100 senior living communities.

She currently serves on the California Assisted Living Association’s education committee, and was previously a member of the advisory board for A Place for Mom. She received her education in business and communications at Sacramento State College.

Ventas’ Cafaro Joins PNC Board Of Directors

Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) has appointed Debra A. Cafaro to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Cafaro is currently the chairman of the board and CEO of Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR), an S&P 500 company that is a leading owner of seniors housing, health care and research properties.

Cafaro brings a background in law, as well as a 19-year tenure at Ventas to her role at PNC. She is heavily involved in business, public policy and non-profit work.

Cafaro is chair elect and serves on the executive committee of the Real Estate Roundtable; is a member of the Business Council; and also sits on the boards of the Economic and Executives’ Clubs of Chicago, the University of Chicago, Chicago Infrastructure Trust, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and World Business Chicago. In addition, Cafaro is also an owner and member of the management committee of the National Hockey League team the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Singh Senior Living Welcomes Three New Members to Management Team in Virginia

West Bloomfield, Michigan-based Singh Senior Living has welcomed a few new members to the management team of its Waltonwood Ashburn Senior Living community in Ashburn, Virginia.

Stepping into the role as marketing manager is Mark Frazier, who brings seven years of experience in senior living management. He has served in various positions in sales and marketing for several retirement communities and senior service companies prior to joining Waltonwood.

Culinary veteran John Harder will serve as director of the community’s culinary services. Harder brings 12 years of experience in overseeing and managing culinary operations. Prior to joining the company, he served as chef de cuisine and executive chef of a senior living community, where he hired and managed kitchen staff and curated the community’s dining menu. Harder also worked for 10 years in hospitality in supervisory and management positions.

Rayando “Rudy” Williamson is stepping up to the role of environmental service manager. He brings 20 years of experience in maintenance services, previously working six years as a maintenance coordinator for a Florida-based senior living community.

Walton wood Ashburn—the first Waltonwood community in Northern Virginia—is slated to open in the last quarter of 2017.

Michalski Steps Up to Executive Director Role for Wingate Residences at Norton

The Wingate Residences has appointed Tiffany Michalski executive director of its community in Norton, Massachusetts, the company reports.

Michalski has spent more than 16 years working at the Residences at Norton, where she has held a variety of roles. She initially served as the community’s life enrichment director, a position she held for 12 years. She then served as campus business manager.

Prior to joining Wingate, Michalski served as recreation director for a New England-based nursing home and rehabilitation center, as well as a recreation therapist for a skilled nursing facility in New York.

Triloma Names New Chief Investment Officer

Orlando-based Triloma Financial Group is expanding its senior housing advisor, Triloma Senior Housing, by appointed James Hendrix as its newest chief investment officer.

Hendrix previously served as vice president of acquisitions at Orlando-based ROC Seniors Housing Fund Manager LLC. His career experience includes the acquisition of more than $2 billion in health care assets in both public and private investments.

At Triloma, Hendrix will focus on identifying and acquiring senior housing properties for future investment opportunities.

Triloma has been actively raising capital for senior housing investments since 2014, and closed a $25 million seniors housing-focused private placement offering last year.

Lenbrook Names Board Chair, Welcomes New Board Members

Atlanta-based continuing care retirement community (CCRC) Lenbrook has appointed David H. Williams, Jr., as board chairman.

Williams has been a member of Lenbrook’s board since 2013, and possesses more than 15 years of experience as bond and underwriter’s counsel on financings for senior housing, health care facilities and universities throughout the U.S.

He is an attorney with Atlanta law firm Butler Snow. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, and earned his doctorate in law from Mercer University School of Law. Williams is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia, National Association of Bond Lawyers and the American Bar Association.

Additionally, Lenbrook has welcomed Caroline Duffy and Karen Renner as new members of the board.

Duffy is a founding partner of Atlanta public relations agency Jackson Spalding, and brings more than 30 years of marketing and public relations experience to the board. She has advised several of the PR agency’s largest clients, and also leads the company’s staff mentoring and culture development. She is a journalism graduate of Auburn University and alumni of Leadership Buckhead.

Renner currently serves as North American chief information officer for Thales, a global technology firm for the aerospace, transport, defense and security industries. She brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership to Lenbrook’s board. Prior to Thales, Renner served as vice president and chief information officer for Atlanta-based Novelis, a global supplier in rolled aluminum products. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial engineering from Auburn University and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University.

It’s Never 2 Late Hires Matt Miller to Lead Product Development

Denver-based It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L), a technology solutions provider for seniors, has named Matt Miller as its vice president of product development.

Miller’s experience includes his tenure as development director for gaming company Electronic Arts (EA). At EA, Miller served as program manager at EA SPORTS where he oversaw the execution and delivery of the EA SPORTS MMA video game, involving a team of 80 development managers, programmers, artists and designers.

Most recently, he served as Washington, D.C.-based Advisory Board Company’s managing director of health care technology product development. At this post, Miller managed 16 software as a service (SaaS) products. He also gained further knowledge of health care technology during his tenure at PhDx Systems, Naval Hospital Pensacola, Naval Hospital Roosevelt Roads and Naval Medical Center San Diego.

Carlson Assumes Director of Dining Services Role for Erickson Living

Catonsville, Maryland-based Erickson Living has appointed Tom Carlson as director of dining services for its Wind Crest community in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Carlson brings more than 15 years of experience in the food service industry, previously working for a multi-national restaurant company. He possesses leadership experience in various facets, including finance, marketing and business development, among others.

Te Brugge Appointed Vice President of Operations for The Goodman Group

Chaska, Minnesota-based The Goodman Group, a developer and manager of senior living communities, has promoted Kim Te Brugge to vice president of operations for its senior living and health care division.

Te Brugge has more than 20 years of industry experience under her belt. In her new position, she will manage the operations of the company’s portfolio of 33 communities, as well as two home health care agencies.

She has held various positions within the company since 2012, when she was initially served as a community executive director in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2014, she was promoted to regional director of operations for Arizona, Montana and Florida.

Prior to joining the company, she began her career in Ontario, Canada, as a licensed nursing home administrator and corporate management consultant. She then served as a health care operations and administration consultant in Chandler, Arizona.
