Lifespace Communities Location Near Chicago Plots Big Redevelopment

Oak Trace, a Lifespace community in Downers Grove, Illinois, has announced plans for a $150 million redevelopment and expansion project, according to a press release.

The first phase of the redevelopment will include a new health center with 66 assisted living apartments, 28 memory support suites and 102 skilled nursing suites, with private courtyards. Planned new amenities include multiple restaurants, a fitness center and spa, and an expansion of the library and auditorium.

Construction on the first phase of the project is slated to begin on Sept. 6 and finish in 2019. A planned second phase will add more than 150 residential living apartments.

Sunrise Plots New Communities in Connecticut, New Jersey

Sunrise Senior Living plans to open new senior living communities in Connecticut and New Jersey.

City planners recently gave the go-ahead to the 90-unit project in Wilton, Connecticut, reports the Wilton Bulletin. Meanwhile, in Princeton, New Jersey, the senior living company is seeking to open a 76-unit community, according to Centraljersey.com.

United Church Homes Plans $18 Million Expansion in Ohio

United Church Homes seeks to expand its community in Dayton, Ohio.

The $18 million redevelopment project is in the works at Trinity Community in Beavercreek, a community that offers assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehab services, reports The Marion Star.

The provider is looking to add two new buildings that would bring new assisted living and memory care apartments, and revamp some of the community’s cottage homes.

Construction is expected to kick off in the spring of 2018.

New Senior Living Community Coming to Texas This Fall

A new community from Validus Senior Living is slated to open soon in Sugar Land, Texas.

Inspired Living at Sugar Land will include independent living, assisted living and memory care units in addition to amenities like a pool, tiki bar, gym and a library, according to a press release. Residents will also have access to a beauty salon and barber shop, laundry services and walking paths.

The community is currently slated to open this October.

New Allegro Community in Florida Set for November Opening

Allegro Senior Living is on track to open a new assisted living, independent living and memory care community in Winter Park, Florida.

The new community will open with 158 housing units and amenities such as a bistro, dining patio, theater, salon and spa, reports OrangeObserver.com.

Allegro tentatively plans to open the community in November.

Dominium Completes Construction of Minnesota 55+ Apartments

Dominium, a Minneapolis-based apartment development and management company, recently opened a new 55+ apartment complex in in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

The new complex includes a kitchen, craft room, salon, fitness area, theater and an underground heated parking area, according to a press release.

Construction on the building began in March of 2016.

Florida Assisted Living Community Adds Independent Living 

Discovery Village At The Forum, an assisted living community in Fort Myers, Florida, on Aug. 2 hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of a new independent living community.

Like Discovery Village at the Forum, the new independent living community, is owned and operated by Discovery Senior Living. Workers broke ground on the independent living portion of the community early last year.

The new addition offers exterior and interior amenities such as a grand ballroom for community events, a movie theater, and a “resort-style” pool that includes oversized cabanas and a covered outdoor entertaining and dining area.

Memory Care Poised to Hold Grand Opening in Ohio

A new memory care community will soon open in Munroe Falls, Ohio.

Mulberry Gardens Memory Care is scheduled to hold a grand opening on Aug. 13, according to MyTownNEO.com, a local news site. The new memory care center is part of Mulberry Gardens Gracious Retirement and Assisted Living, which is located next door.

New Senior Living Community Arrives in Illinois

The Landings at Reed Station Crossing, a 91-unit independent living, assisted living and memory care community, recently held its grand opening.

Residents at the new community have access to a full restaurant, a game room, a beauty shop, a community garden, putting greens, a fitness center, a spa room and a movie theater, reports The Southern.
