Sunrise Senior Living is positioning seven newly acquired properties in California under a different brand name.
“Sunrise Villa” now adorns communities in Santa Rosa, San Jose, San Ramon, Salinas, Sonoma, Placentia and Los Angeles, the McLean, Virginia-based company said in a July 31 press release. Currently, Sunrise operates 320 senior living communities across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The new communities are situated in urban areas and are “seamlessly integrated into the larger neighborhoods where they’re located,” the company noted in the release. Each location has communal gathering spaces such as family-style dining rooms and outdoor amenities like gardens and patios. Additionally, the communities come with in-house chefs, customizable meal plans, private suites, and laundry and cleaning services.
All of the communities will offer assisted living and early-stage memory care services. Sunrise Villa San Ramon will also provide independent living services.
Prior to moving in, residents will complete a “personal discovery worksheet,” where they list goals and record information about their history, spiritual preferences, occupation, hobbies, skills, interests and preferences. The Sunrise Villa communities also come with Sunrise’s “Live With Purpose” programming, which features an activities calendar driven by resident feedback.
“Our Villa communities will pair Sunrise’s more than 35 years of experience providing seniors high-quality care and programming with a fresh take on active senior living,” said Meghan Lublin, senior vice president of marketing and communications for Sunrise, in the press release. “We know that different customers want different experiences, and Sunrise Villa presents us with an opportunity to bring our leading services to benefit more seniors and their families.”
A representative for Sunrise wasn’t immediately available to elaborate on the announcement.
