Starling Hires Executive Director for Community in Ponte Vedra, Florida

Starling, a senior living owner and operator based in Jacksonville, Florida, has hired Megan Kennedy to serve as executive director for its Starling at Nocatee location. The 92-unit assisted living and memory care community is slated to open this fall in Ponte Vedra, Florida.

Prior to joining the Starling team, Kennedy worked in various roles for Discovery Senior Living, Harbor Retirement Associates, Memory Care of America and Emeritus. 

Perone Appointed Director of Community Relations at Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk

Christy Perone has been appointed director of community relations at Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk by its parent company EPOCH Senior Living, the company reports.

In her new role, Perone will work on establishing and fostering relationships with local organizations, and provide her expertise for families considering memory care assisted living.

Perone brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing for senior living communities. Prior to joining EPOCH, she served as director of community relations for senior living communities in Connecticut and North Carolina. 

Norterre Hires Lifestyle Consultant and Community Development Manager

Liberty, Missouri-based Norterre has tapped Connie Michaelis and Laura Mullennix as its lifestyle consultant and community development manager, respectively. 

In her new role, Michaelis will act as a community liaison, conducting community outreach, interfacing with medical professionals and organizing educational programs in an effort to spotlight Norterre’s offerings and amenities. Mullennix, meanwhile, brings more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a background in healthcare organizations and senior living communities. 

Cadence Senior Living Hires Executive Director in Orange, California

Cadence Senior Living has appointed Lisa Hagon as executive director of its Kirkwood Assisted Living and Memory Care Community at its Orange, California, location. 

Hagon brings her management experience to Cadence after operating a memory care community for four years in Palm Springs, California.

Erickson Living Taps New Executive Director for Brooksby Village

Erickson Living has appointed industry veteran Tracie Bettano as executive director of its Brooksby Village community in Peabody, Massachusetts.

She has been with Brooksby Village since 2004, where she has held several leadership roles, including associate executive director, director of continuing care and rehabilitation, and wellness manager. Outside of Brooksby Village, she also served in a director of clinical operations role within Erickson Living.

Architect Elected to Board of Georgia Senior Living Association

Atlanta architect Paul W. Stegenga, AIA, has been elected to the board of directors of the Georgia Senior Living Association (GSLA), where he will represent the Industry Partners membership.

Stegenga has more than 30 years of experience in the senior housing, assisted living and skilled nursing industry, and has developed projects in 38 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

GSLA is the state affiliate of Argentum. Its goal is to represent Georgia’s senior living industry and the communities it serves.
