Acts Retirement Names New President and CEO

Acts Retirement-Life Communities has named company veteran Gerald T. Grant as its new president and CEO, the organization announced Thursday.

The Pennsylvania company’s former CEO, J. Mark Vanderbeck, passed away unexpectedly in early May. Grant was named as the company’s interim CEO at the time.

Grant has worked at Acts for almost 30 years, most recently in the role of president and COO. He has also served as the organization’s chief financial officer.

I’m excited to accept this new leadership role to help ensure the continued success and growth of the company. I am extremely optimistic that the best days are ahead for Acts, and I look forward to working with our talented and dedicated team to continue making a positive difference for the seniors and communities we serve.”

Currently, Acts Retirement-Life Communities is the largest not-for-profit owner, developer and operator of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) in the country, with 22 CCRCs in eight states.
