Dominion Planning Second South Carolina Community

Knoxville, Tennessee-based Dominion Senior Living recently announced its plans for a $10 million faith-based community in Clemson, South Carolina, its second in the state.

Dominion Senior Living at Patrick Square will come with 49 assisted living apartments and 17 apartments designed for memory care, a press release reads. Amenities include enclosed courtyards for residents, a landscaped garden, covered porches and a salon/barber shop. Dominion is scheduled to open the community in the fall of 2018.

Parkland Memory Care Coming Soon to Arizona

Construction is now underway for a new memory care community in Chandler, Arizona.

The community, called Parkland Memory Care, will house 72 units and 56 suites, according to a press release.

Planned design features include high ceilings and open areas with windows and skylights to bring in natural light. The architecture is based on a “Tuscan ranch” style, with elements of stone, concrete tiled roof, and decorative lighting.

Amenities include 24-hour nursing, activity rooms, an in-house salon and outdoor walking paths. Seasons Management Group will oversee the community’s day-to-day operations when it opens in spring 2018.

Thrive Senior Living Expanding Near Augusta, Georgia

Atlanta’s Thrive Senior Living will manage a forthcoming community in a suburb of Augusta, Georgia.

The community, Indigo Hall of Augusta, is slated to open with assisted living and memory care units in Martinez, Georgia, according to an announcement.

The resort-style community will come with entertainment venues, a spa, beauty salon, wellness center, multiple courtyards featuring rich outdoor amenities and “world class dining.” Design flourishes include “the traditional look and feel of most senior living communities, featuring warm tones, stone, wood, and granite surfaces in a lodge-like environment,” the release reads.

Indigo Hall Development Company is slated to break ground on the project later this summer. If all goes according to schedule, the community will open in the fall of 2018.

New Jersey Community Converting SNF Units to Assisted Living

Brandywine Living at Moorestown Estates, a community in Moorsetown, New Jersey, is converting some of its skilled nursing units to assisted living. The new assisted living units will have access to amenities such as a dedicated butler, concierge services, room service and private dining, according to a press release.

Brandywine is converting its skilled nursing wing because of “a result of a greater need for more luxury assisted living options in Moorestown, as there are many sub-acute options in the immediate area for seniors,” a representative for the community told Senior Housing News.

The converted wing is expected to open to residents later this year.

Blake Management Group to Oversee Community in Augusta, Georgia

Construction crews with real estate developer CR Properties recently broke ground on new senior housing in the Peach State.

Senior living operator Blake Management Group will oversee the The Claiborne at West Lake, a “high-end” assisted living and memory care community in Augusta, Georgia. The community is designed to have 100 units, each with housekeeping and maintenance services, according to a press release.

Planned amenities include a library, theater, activities room, fitness and rehabilitation rooms, medical examination rooms and two full-service salons. The community will also have a bistro.

Senior Lifestyle Corporation Puts Finishing Touches on Northeastern Illinois Community

A new Senior Lifestyle Corporation community has opened in Elgin, Illinois.

The Sheridan at Tyler Creek, which contains 64 assisted living units and 32 memory support units, welcomed its residents about a month ahead of schedule, according to a press release from developer Walsh Construction. The Sheridan comes equipped with a wide range of amenities, including a commercial kitchen, dining room, arts and crafts area, media room, salon, fitness center, physical therapy and outdoor landscaping.

Future Senior Lifestyle Corporation communities are also being developed in Illinois, Georgia, Connecticut, Michigan, Utah, Florida and New York.

Senior Living Communities Opens Community in South Carolina

Senior Living Communities opened a new senior housing campus in Lexington, South Carolina, according to a press release.

Wellmore of Lexington, the new community, has independent living cottage homes, assisted living villa apartments, memory care, skilled nursing and rehab services.

The community also is equipped with “country club style amenities” and award-winning wellness programs, gourmet dining and social programming, according to the announcement.
