Former Caring.com VP Accepts Position at Home Care Assistance

Katie Roper, vice president of sales and marketing at Caring.com, has left the company and accepted a new role at Home Care Assistance. At the company, Roper will be the vice president of healthcare strategy and partnerships. In the role, she will develop national partnerships that leverage Home Care Assistance’s home care insights and expertise, as well as expand its health care service capacity and value, according to a press release.

Roper has over a decade of experience in the caregiving industry following time spent at several successful technology startups in Silicon Valley.

In addition, Roper is a graduate of Harvard University and earned her MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

CBRE Hires Experts for Valuation & Advisory Services Healthcare Practice Group

James Garber, MAI, has joined CBRE Group (NYSE: CBG) as vice president for the company’s Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS) Healthcare Practice Group. RJ Debee has also been hired as a senior associate for the group.

Both Garber and Debee will cover the southeast region, and both will be based in the Florida-area. Both of their responsibilities include business development and client management. They will provide third-party valuations and advisory services specific to seniors housing and other health care asset types, according to a press release.

Garber and Debee previously held positions of managing director and director, respectively, at Salus Valuation Group.

Chief Financial Officer Hired at Asbury Communities

Andrew Jeanneret has accepted the role of chief financial officer for Asbury Communities in Germantown, Maryland. Jeanneret comes to Asbury with more than three decades of experience in finance, health care, accounting, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, insurance and technology.

Previously, Jeanneret was the chief financial officer at Learn It Systems, LLC. Prior to that, he was CFO with Millennial Media Inc., which provides mobile marketing and advertising opportunities for businesses.

In his new role, Jeanneret will oversee the finance and accounting functions of Asbury.

Marketing and Community Relations Director Hired at Wingate Residences at Weston

Memory care and assisted living community Wingate Residences at Weston, located in Weston, Massachusetts, has hired a new marketing and community relations director. Brooke Tallinger will guide residents and their families through the transition to senior living, as well as connect the community with local organizations and community members.

Tallinger has been active in the senior living sector from an early age, as her mother is a geriatric nurse and now is the vice president of the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York.

Before accepting the position at Wingate, Tallinger was a community liaison for a home health care agency. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and is a member of the Metro East and West Suburban Alzheimer Association Partnerships.

La Costa Glen Appoints New Associate Executive Director

Continuing care retirement community La Costa Glen in Carlsbad, California, has hired Terri DeBoever as associate executive director. In her role, DeBoever will oversee the community’s food and beverage services, environmental services, resident services and activities department.

DeBoever has over 25 years of industry experience and previously served as executive director and nursing home administrator at a Brookdale retirement community in San Juan Capistrano, California.

In addition, DeBoever is a licensed nursing home administrator and a licensed Retirement Community for the Elderly (RCFE) administrator.

The LaSalle Group Names New Chief Administrative Officer 

The LaSalle Group, Inc. recently promoted Kim Higgins Alleman to the newly created position of chief administrative officer. She previously served as The LaSalle Group’s senior vice president of people and culture.

In her new role, Alleman will be responsible for the oversight of Human Resources, Information Technology, Risk and Legal.

Family-owned-and-operated since 1990, The LaSalle Group develops, designs, builds, owns and manages 50 Autumn Leaves memory care assisted living communities in the United States.
