Construction Set to Begin on New Senior Community

Located in Wilmington, Delaware, HarborChase of Wilmington is set to be underway soon. The community will have 64 apartments for assisted living apartments and 32 for memory care.

Residents will be able to enjoy a chef’s fare dining program with seasonal options and a customized dining experience, a putting green, an outdoor fire pit, water features, shaded seating outdoors, a bocce court, a bar/lounge, club room, a salon as well as a separate dining room, country kitchen and large activity area with a fire place for memory care residents.

HarborChase of Wilmington plans to open its doors in June 2018. Harbor Retirement Associates is developing and managing the property. 

Plans for $125 Million Community Set

A Bristal Assisted Living facility in Jericho, New York is planned to be constructed. The community will have 140 units for assisted living and 140 apartments for memory care residents. 

The 336,000 square-foot community will cost $125 million to build and is being developed by the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency.

Memory Care Facility to Get $40 Million Expansion

Senior home Dow Rummel Village is getting a $40 million facelift to both its memory care and assisted living units, Argus Leader reports. 

The Sioux Falls, South Dakota community will gain an additional 60 residential units. Other upgrades will include an expanded commons area with a larger beauty shop, a new woodworking area, an art studio and a golf pro store with a putting green.

Plans Released for New Dominion Senior Living Community

Dominion Senior Living is expanding with a new community in Anderson, South Carolina. It will be the first community by Dominion in the state and will be 44,000 square feet.

The $9.5 million community will be two stories with 45 assisted living units and 15 memory care communities. 

Amenities will include picnic areas, a large courtyard, games, walking paths and sensory gardens. 

Development Plans Revealed for New Community

A senior housing project, The Sheridan at Eastside, will begin in the fall in Snellville, Georgia. Senior Lifestyle Corporation will own, operate and develop the 190,000 square-foot community.

The community will consist of 81 independent living units, 60 assisted living apartment homes, 24 independent living cottages and 32 memory care residences. 

Residents will be able to enjoy multiple dining venues, a spa, theater, fitness/wellness center, an art studio, business center, multi-purpose lounges and a swimming pool. 

The Sheridan at Eastside is expected to open to residents in late 2018.

Affordable 55+ Community Accepting Applications

A new living option for adults 55 and older in Apopka, Florida is now accepting applications. Brixton Landing Apartments is an 80-unit independent living community that will give older adults an affordable living option priced below the city’s average rental rate.

Brixton Landing will have one- and two-bedroom residences available all equipped with a full sized washer and dryer, an island with kitchen storage, an emergency call system and cable-ready features. 

The building will also be built to Florida Green Building Coalition’s certified green standards.

Brixton Landing Apartments is expected to have its first residents move in in April.

Senior Living Community Now Open In San Antonio

Sodalis at Stone Oak, an assisted living and memory care community located in San Antonio has just opened. The community, operated by Sodalis Senior Living, offers home-like apartment style living with around the clock care. 

Amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, an eco-friendly kitchen with customizable fresh and organic food offerings, wine and coffee bars as well as various common areas.
