Developers Investing $9 Million In New Memory Care Community

A new memory care community is planned to start construction soon. The $9 million Fieldstone Memory Care community, located in Spokane, Washington, will be completed in two phases.

Phase one will include constructing the main 40,000-square-foot, single-story building that will include 60 resident beds. The second phase will include three 5,400-square-foot structures for adult family living. Each unit would have six beds.

Amenities will include a town square that will include a theater, chapel, 1950’s-themed diner, an art studio and barber shop.

Cascadia Development LLC, which does business as Cascadia Senior Living and Development, is developing the community. Poston Architects will be designing the project.

Memory Care Community in Virginia to Open in April 

Located in Williamsburg, Virginia, Berkley Oaks memory care community is set to open in early April. The community will include 48 memory care apartments.

The apartments will be in one-story cottages that will have 16 private studios with a private bathroom and shower in each residence. There will be shared living spaces that include family-style dining and a living room with a fireplace.

Other amenities will include a secure courtyard, beauty and barber salon, a library, activity room, 24-hour security, transportation and housekeeping.

Berkley Oaks will be managed by Solvere Senior Living and is owned by WM Daugherty & Co.

Senior Community Almost Ready to Open in Minnesota

Ebenezer Management Services has a new community in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, that is set to open on April 3. The three-story White Bear Heights Senior Living community is 138,000 square feet and will offer independent living, assisted living and memory care.

There will be 112 units in total with 82 units dedicated to independent and assisted living and 30 dedicated to memory care.

Residents will be able to enjoy chef-prepared meals served restaurant-style, heated underground parking, a bistro, club lounge, hair salon and spa, library, private dining room, community room, game room, fitness center and multiple outdoor patios.

White Bear Heights is owned by Oppidan Investment Company.

Community In California Undergoing $22.5 Million Expansion

Independent living and assisted living community Emerald Court, located in Anaheim, California is undergoing a $22.5 million expansion and renovation project.

The expansion of the Kisco Senior Living community will include a new two-story building that will have 58 assisted living apartments, a demonstration kitchen, dining venue and a new wellness center overlooking the courtyard. A full renovation of the main dining room, all corridors, activity room and salon are currently underway.

In addition, the expansion will connect the existing building of the community and additional space to the courtyard.

The project is expected to be complete in fall 2017.

Welcome Center Now Open at Resort-Style Community

Located in Palm Beach County, Florida, Atria at Villages of Windsor has opened its office for preleases. The luxury senior living rental community is under construction.

There will be 186 independent living residences and resort-style amenities open as early as summer 2017. Following the independent living units, an additional 80 assisted living apartments and a separate 54-unit memory care building will be completed in fall 2017.

Amenities in the community will include a resort-style pool, fitness and yoga facilities, a movie screening room and chauffeured car services. The community will also be pet-friendly.

Atria at Villages of Windsor is owned by Big Rock Partners and will be managed by Atria Senior Living.

Benchmark Senior Living Community Completed in Massachusetts

Benchmark Senior Living has completed its third assisted living project with Callahan Construction Managers in Norwood, Massachusetts. The community, Benchmark Senior Living on Clapboardtree, is 73,000 square feet and includes assisted living and memory care.

There are 21 memory care units and 69 assisted living residences in the community. There are 35 studio units, 30 one-bedroom units and 25 two-bedroom units.

Amenities within Benchmark Senior Living on Clapboardtree include a commercial kitchen, library, day spa, on-stie dentist office, exercise room, arts and crafts room, beauty salon, bistro kitchen, dining areas, courtyard, pergola and landscaped grounds.

JSA Architects designed the project, which began in August 2015.
