Updates to Wisconsin Senior Living Community Planned

Located in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Tallgrass Senior Living (formerly KindredHearts) is planning to start a $2.5 million renovation to the community, if the plans are approved by the city.

The plans include remodeling the 52 assisted living apartments in the main building as well as renovating 62-single-story cottage homes, refurbishing the dining room, reception area and community living spaces. The community also plans to add a new salon and spa.

Tallgrass Senior Living changed its name after Chicago-based SHA Capital Partners bought the community earlier this month.

Senior Housing Project Get Approval, New Hampshire

After almost two years, a senior housing project in Salem, New Hampshire, has been given clearance to start construction on a 60-home senior housing development.

The homes in the 55 and older community will sell for approximately $269,000 once they are complete.

Salem-based DHB Homes, who has built residential and commercial properties throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts, is behind the construction.

Construction Underway On Memory Care Community, Colorado

Melody Living will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on its first assisted living and memory support community, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The community will be 74,000 square feet and will feature 79 studio, one-and two-bedroom apartments. There will be 24-hour onsite nurses and caregivers among other amenities like a fitness room, restaurant style dining, bistro and cafe, movie theater and art studio. There will also be a specialized memory support neighborhood.

The community’s first residents are scheduled to move in winter 2017. Melody Living is managed by Cappella Living Solutions and the developer behind the project is Cedarwood Development.

New $10 Million Arcadia Community Under Construction

Located in Clarksville, Tennessee, Arcadia Senior Living is developing a community on a 6-acre plot of land for independent living, assisted living and memory care.

The $10 million community will include 79 studio, one-and two-bedroom residences. The project is being developed Arcadia and DMK Development.

Amenities at Acadia Clarksville will include a fitness center, outdoor walking path, library, baking kitchen, art studio, small dog park, theater, happy hour and internet lounge, rose garden terrace, patio with a fire pit, restaurant style dining room and a private dining room for special occasions.

The community is expected to open to residents summer 2017.

Construction Almost Complete at Community in Michigan

In Keego Harbor, Michigan, Magnolia by the Lakes opened its first phase of the community, Magnolia North, two years ago. Now the luxury senior living community is almost finished with the second complex, Magnolia South, which is connect by a bridge to the first community.

The bridge should be complete by the end of this month, which overlooks Cass Lake and is styled like an old European street.

Magnolia South is scheduled for completion in December and will include five stories of independent living. There will be 90 luxury one- and two-bedroom villas as well as a 3-bedroom penthouse. The units all have full kitchens, slip-resistance floors and edgeless tile showers with grab bars.

Amenities will include a medical center, indoor pool, activity center, fitness center, library, theater, conference room as well as an indoor and outdoor dining area.

Assisted Living and Memory Care Community Open

The Georgian Lakeside Assisted Living and Memory Care in Roswell, Georgia is now open. Located on a five-acre lake, the community features 70 assisted living units and 25 memory care units.

The 80,000 square-foot community will include luxury amenities including a private dining room, theater room, hair salon, library, physical therapy and price doctors’ examination rooms, exercise rooms and numerous activity rooms.

Griffin Fine Living LLC handled construction of the community and KTGY Architecture + Planning designed the community.

Trilogy Opens Senior Living Community in Indiana

Located in Corydon, Indiana, Trilogy Health Services has opened its 103rd senior living community, Harrison Springs Health Campus.

The community will offer assisted living, long-term care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation, outpatient therapy and respite care. There will be 95 beds, with a number of private suites that come furnished.

The rooms at Harrison Springs are organized into neighborhoods. Other amenities include courtyards, a putting green, ice cream parlor, beauty salon, state-of-the-art gym, public and private dining rooms and cafes.

The campus is also undergoing construction on independent living villa patio homes, which are currently accepting reservations for the expected opening in spring 2017.
