Lifespace Communities Appoints Senior VP of Business Development

Lifespace Communities, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit senior living providers, hired Joe Anderson as senior vice president of business development.

In the role, Anderson will drive the Des Moines, Iowa-based company’s growth through mergers and acquisitions. He comes to the role with almost 30 years of experience in senior living. For example, he worked as founder and president of Seniority, Inc., a sales, marketing and management firm. He joined ABHOW after working in the advertising business, and his firm was purchased in 1989.

Anderson also serves as chairman of the Dallas, Texas-based not-for-profit Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation, and will continue to do so.

“No one understands the opportunities in our profession better than Joe Anderson,” CEO Sloan Bentley said in a news release. “He sees the inevitable consolidation of providers as our industry attempts to respond to the aging of America and the demand for exceptional housing and health care services.”

Lifespace Communities owns and operates 12 life care retirement communities in seven states.

Chicago Pacific Founders Announces New COO of CPF Living Communities, President of Grace Management

Chicago Pacific Founders announced the appointment of Guy Geller as COO of CPF Living Communities and president of Grace Management as founding partners Mary Jo and Gene Grace announce their retirements. Additionally, Amy Perkins, currently director of operations, and Jody Boedigheimer, vice president, will primarily assume Mary Jo Grace’s responsibilites.

Geller has 18 years of experience in senior living, including serving as the managing director of Sunrise Senior Living’s United Kingdom portfolio. He also worked with Prudential Mortgage Capital, Brookdale Senior Living and Senior Lifestyle Corp. Most recently, he worked with private equity firm DiNapoli Capital Partners as managing director of the senior housing portfolio.

“I am extremely excited to be joining CPF as the COO of its senior housing division and as president of Grace Management, where I can combine my background in real estate and operations,” Geller said in a news release. “At Grace Management, I will continue to build on the long history of excellence to enhance operations and provide new opportunities for Grace to serve the senior housing industry. In addition to my role as president of Grace, I am excited to be working with John Rijos and the CPF team to grow its already substantial portfolio of senior housing assets.”

Grace Management works in senior housing management, marketing and operational consulting services, receivership and loan workouts, due dilligence reviews for pending sale or purchase considerations and third-party reviews for various types of senior housing communities. Chicago Pacific Founders is a strategic health care investment fund focused on health care services.

JLL Capital Markets Welcomes Seniors Housing and Health Care Expert

JLL Capital Markets welcomed Allison Holland as a managing director for the firm, where she will provide debt and equity placement and advisory services for seniors housing and health care assets across the country.

Holland joins a national team of debt, equity and investment sales experts with access to all aspects of the capital platform, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA/HUD. She joins JLL from a national commercial real estate services firm where she was senior vice president and head of seniors housing agency lending production. She has 12 years of health care-related commercial real estate lending experience and has originated almost $1.5 billion in debt since 2011.

“Allison brings a strong reputation in the industry and a wealth of national client relationships, David Williams, leader of JLL’s multifamily capital markets, said in a news release. “She’ll add tremendous value to our combined client relationships, as we continue to build out our suite of capital markets products and services dedicated to the seniors housing and health care space.”

Dominion Senior Living Names New Executive Director for Sevierville, Tennessee Community

Dominion Senior Living announced the hire of Cassie Stephens for the position of executive director in the provider’s faith-based Sevierville, Tennessee, assisted living and memory care community.

Stephens has worked with seniors her entire career, starting out as a nurse, earning a promotion to director of nursing and later becoming an administrator. As executive director at Dominion Senior Living of Sevierville, Stephens will oversee all employees and procedures, facilitate interaction between residents and the community at large and invite organizations in the surrounding area to share in resident experiences.

“We are excited to welcome Cassie to the team in Sevierville and know her experience and personality will positively impact the families we serve,” Josh Crisp, vice president of Dominion Senior Living, said in a news release. “As we look to further the success we’ve had in Sevierville, her background in nursing and caring for seniors with varying care needs is important to us, and we know our residents will continue to be in good hands with her leadership.”
