Development Announced for Memory Care Communities

Market Street Memory Care Residences, located in Palm Coast, Fla., will break ground in December. The community, owned and operated by Watercrest Senior Living Group, will be 46,000 square feet and include 64-units. The community plans to open in late 2017.

The community will have a central gathering space with an active streetscape that includes a newsstand, post office, art gallery, bakery, salon and spa. LifeBuilt Architecture designed the community.

There is also a Market Street Memory Care Residence planned to break ground in Tampa, Fla. this fall as well as a location in Viera, Fla. with plans to open in this fall.

Luxury $20 Million Community Planned in Louisville, Ky.

Starting construction in the fourth quarter of 2016, The Grand of Prospect in Louisville will include independent, assisted living and memory care residences.

On the 14.8-acre lot, the community will have a total of 168 apartments. Residents will be able to enjoy amenities such as indoor and outdoor dining, massage room, theater, salon and barbershop, courtyard with walking path and a playground for families.

The project will be a combined effort from Guttman Properties, located in Cincinnati, and Civitas Senior Living.

Mindel, Scott and Associates, Inc., have been selected as the civil engineer and pH7 Architects has been selected as the architect for the community.

Plans Announced for Senior Living Community in Iowa

Construction on a new assisted living and independent living community will begin next month in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Siena Hills will have townhouse, single family homes and an assisted living and memory care facility.

The 13-acre site will feature 22 single-family homes, 14 townhouse and a 44-unit Edencrest Assisted Living and Memory Care community. When complete, the family homes will be around 1,600 square feet and will have starting selling prices of under $300,000.

Hubbell Realty Company is the owner of Siena Hills.

Colo. Memory Care Community Near Completion

Landmark Memory Care in Lafayette, Colo. is nearly 70% complete. The 18-unity memory care facility has begun public tours and is slated for completion in early November 2016.

The community is a 9,395 square foot, single-story, wood-framed building and consists of a commercial kitchen, dining room, common areas and lobby.

Pinkard Construction is building the facility and Clear Creek Architects is handling the design.

Preliminary Construction Begins Community in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

The Watercrest of St. Lucie West Assisted Living and Memory Care Community is under development in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The community will be 128 units and will feature resort-style service.

There will be 102 units dedicated to assisted living and 26 for memory care apartments with water views. Residents will also enjoy Spa W, a wine bistro and waterfront bistro-style or private dining.

D2 Architects is designing the community. Watercrest Senior Living Group is managing the community and will open in fall of 2017.

Ebenezer Senior Living Community Underway in Shorewood, Minn.

A groundbreaking ceremony is set for September 9 at Shorewood senior living community in Shorewood, Minn.

The community will consist of 105 units among a three-story, 136,000 square foot development. There will be 80 independent and assisted living apartments and 25 memory care units.

Residents will be able to enjoy a coffee and snack bistro, fitness center, hair salon, theater, outdoor courtyard, community room and an underground parking garage.

Shorewood will be operated by Ebenezer and is being developed by Oppidan Investment Company. The community will be complete in late 2017.

Old Hotel Transformed Into Pathway Senior Living Community Opens in Kan.

A celebration for the opening of Travanse Living at Olathe, in Olathe, Kan. was recently hosted.

The 132-unit senior living community, managed by CA Ventures LLC and Pathway Senior Living is set on a 7-acre site that was originally a Holiday inn hotel.

The project was part of a $22 million renovation led by CA Ventures. Travanse Living at Olathe has 75 assisted living units, which includes 63 studios and 12 one-bedroom units. There are also an additional 57 studios that provide memory care services.

The assisted living suites include kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, as well as an accessible private bathroom with stone finishes.

Pelican Landing Now Open in Sebastian, Fla.

Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care Community is now open in Sebastian, Fla.

The community, owned and operated by Watercrest Senior Living, is 65,000 square feet of 89 units. There are 63 assisted living apartments and 26 apartments for memory care.

The project broke ground last spring and was built by Walker Construction Company.

Senior Lifestyle Community Celebrates Grand Opening

Located in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., The Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch celebrated its grand opening. The assisted living and memory care community is seated on a seven-acre lot and has 121 apartments with a variety of floor plans available.

Some amenities for residents include chef-prepared meals made with locally-sourced ingredients, QuietCare Wellness Monitoring, memory care and 24-hour access to licensed care staff.

The community is managed by Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
