New $10 Million Senior Living Community Planned

A new assisted living and memory care community plans to break ground in October in Bethalto, Ill.

Cedarhurst Assisted Living and Memory Care will comprise 62,476 square feet and consist of 50 assisted living apartments and a separate memory care wing that can accommodate up to 26 residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The assisted living apartments will all have private bathrooms and kitchenettes as well as offer restaurant-style dining and access to a movie theater, salon, library and therapy facility.

The community, operated by Cedarhurst Living LLC, will also have a 1.5-acre fishing pond, indoor courtyards with raised gardens and a walking path.

Assisted Living Community to Break Ground Soon in Fla. 

Scheduled to open in October 2017, HarborChase of Wildwood, in Wildwood, Fla., will begin construction soon.

The luxury retirement community will include 66 assisted living apartments and 26 memory care apartments. All will range in size from 372 to 674 square feet.

HarborChase of Wildwood will feature full-service dining, a beauty salon, 24-hour staff, library, wellness center, cocktail lounges, rooftop terrace, scheduled transportation daily, housekeeping service, concierge services and multiple recreational rooms and programs.

Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA) will manage the community and is partnering with Confluent Development, based in Denver.

New Mixed-Income Senior Living Community Planned, Texas

Gardner Capital Development is developing a mixed-income senior living community in Melissa, Texas. The community plans to have 93 independent, mixed-income residences in a three-story building.

The over $16 million community will have one- and two-bedroom cottage-style apartments for seniors. Construction and development is planned to begin in the second quarter of 2017, with an expected completion date in fall 2018.

Gardner Capital Development Texas, LLC will serve as the developer for the project, Cross Architects will design the community and Allied Orion Group will manage the property.

Affordable Senior Housing Underway in Roswell, Ga.

The Integral Group LLC has partnered with McShane Construction Company to construct The Veranda at Groveway. The affordable senior housing residence will have 102 units in a four-story apartment building.

The community will offer 109,714 square feet of senior living space and be a mixture of 85 one- and 17 two-bedroom floor plans that incorporate contemporary fixtures and finishes. There will also be an emergency call system in each residence.

Residents will enjoy a wellness center, fitness center, yoga/aerobics room, business center, game room, sunroom and a rooftop deck.

Construction is underway in Roswell, Ga. and is set to be completed in July 2017.

Construction Begins on Active Adult Community Near Dallas

Ground has broken on a 243-unit active adult apartment community in Allen, Texas. The amenity-rich community, Adlers at Twin Creeks, is a joint venture between Drever Capital Management of Tiburon, Calif. and The Adler Group of Allen, Texas.

Apartments will range in size from 730 square-feet for a one-bedroom to 1,280 square-feet for two-bedroom, two bath units and rent will start near $1,400 per month.

Residents of Adlers at Twin Creek will also enjoy an array of amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness spa, movie theater featuring SMART Board screening technology, arts and crafts studio, pet park, epicurean cafe and a large recreational area with an oversized pool, cabanas and commercial outdoor grill kitchen.

Phase one of the project is set to be complete in December 2017.

Welbrook Transitional Rehab Facility Underway in Ariz.

Welbrook Senior Living and Embrue Asset Group, a full service health care and retail development group have partnered together to develop a new transitional rehabilitation facility in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The facility, Welbrook Flagstaff, is underway and will allow patients a better short-term option for recovery from an accident or illness following their discharge from local hospitals.

The project will provide 50 private rehabilitation suites for patients and create almost 100 new jobs. Welbrook Flagstaff will also work in conjunction with existing local health care providers, including hospitals and physicians.

The facility is anticipated to be complete mid-2017.

Construction Underway on Senior Living Community in Lincolnwood, Ill. 

Ground has broken on the site of a new senior living community in Lincolnwood, Ill. The community will provide varying levels of care, which will include assisted living, independent living and a memory care unit.

The plans include enough housing for 500 residents, which includes 250 units for independent living, 90 for assisted living and 44 for memory care. Residents will also enjoy a bistro, indoor pool, patios, a theater and game rooms.

South Bay Partners, based in Dallas, is developing the property and the community expects to be complete by spring of 2018.

New Brookdale Community Complete in Houston

A new independent living community in Houston is set to open Aug. 29.

Solana Preserve Vintage Park is a luxury-style community that offers transportation services, housekeeping and two chef-prepared meals per day.

Other amenities residents can enjoy include a wine bar, outdoor heated swimming pool, putting green, fitness center, dog park, full-service salon, library, gardens, movie theater and craft studio.

The size of floor plans range from 650 to 1,250 square feet. Model units are currently open for potential residents to view.
