Koelsch Community Will Break Ground This Month in Calif.
A new memory care community will break ground later this month in Modesto, Calif.
El Rio Memory Care Community is owned by Koelsch Communities and will be home to 72 residents who may require memory related services.
The campus will be almost 40,000 square feet and is part of a larger campus of independent living, Park at Modesto, which will break ground later this fall.
El Rio Memory Care will have around the clock nurses, respite care and the Personal Touch Care Program, which is a holistic approach aimed at maintaining Resident’s wellbeing and self-worth.
The community is expected to open in summer of 2017. The project is being developed by Madrona Point Development, partnering with RJ Development. Koelsch Construction will be the general contractor.

Ground Breaks at New Living Care Lifestyles Community
A new memory care community has broken ground in Seattle. Quail Park Memory Care will be the only free-standing community for dementia and Alzheimer’s residents in the surrounding 35 square miles.
The community, by Living Care Lifestyles, will be 46,000 square feet and will have 48 rooms to accommodate 66 residents.
The structure will consist of three self-sustaining floors that will include common areas on each floor, a dining area, sitting lounge, theater, activity space, outdoor patio, water features, putting green and distinct “neighborhoods” reflecting the West Seattle heritage with historic markers and items.
The community will be LEED Silver certified and will open in fall 2017.
Luxury Senior Living Community Underway, Jacksonville, Fla.
A new community by Vestcor has broken ground in Jacksonville, Fla. HarborChase of Mandarin will be a luxury independent, assisted living and memory care community that will consist of 114 apartments.
The community will include a 24-hour staff, supportive services, customized programs, scheduled transportation, housekeeping services, concierge services and chef-prepared dining in multiple dining venues.
HarborChase of Mandarin is anticipated to be complete in fall of 2017. Contracting the project will be Summit Contracting Group and PQH Architects will design the community.
Dominion Senior Living Celebrates New Tenn. Community
A new senior living community for assisted living and memory care has opened its doors in Crossville, Tenn.
Dominion Senior Living of Crossville is the only dedicated memory care community in the area designed for residents with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
The community is 25,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 60 residents in a total of 40 apartments.
Dominion Senior Living of Crossville has nurses and caregivers available 24 hours a day. There is also Wi-Fi throughout the community, 24/7 surveillance, personalized care services, life enrichment programs, on-site medical assistance and therapy services.
Spectrum Retirement Community Opens in Columbus, Ohio
Hilliard Assisted Living and Memory Care opened in Columbus, Ohio. The newest Spectrum community includes 75 assisted living and 25 memory care residences in addition to Spectrum’s transitional memory care program.
The community is 87,000 square feet and the units range in size from studio apartments to two-bedroom units. Amenities for the residents include, chef-prepared dining, Colors of Spectrum wellness programs and entertainment activities designed by the on-site Director of Fun.
Senior Living Community Holds Grand Opening, Arlington, Texas
A new senior living community is open in Arlington, Texas. Heartis Arlington is 67,000 square feet and has 81 units for assisted living and memory care.
Residents will enjoy amenities such as a bistro, Internet cafe, outdoor walking paths, game and activity rooms, beauty/barber shop, common areas, large fitness center, housekeeping, daily nursing care and 24-hour emergency response.
Heartis Arlington was developed and is owned by Caddis. Frontier Management is managing the community.
$17 Million Healthcare Resort of Waco Construction Complete
After a grand opening event, the Healthcare Resort of Waco will be opening its doors upon completion of inspections from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
The community is 75,000 square feet and features 30 assisted living apartments and 86 skilled nursing units.
The resort-style community will offer its residents top-of-the-line amenities which include, gourmet chef-prepared meals, wine bar, full-service spa, hair and nail salon and coffee shop.
The Healthcare Resort of Waco will also include physical, occupational and speech therapists.
