BMA Management Changes Name With Eye Toward Growth

BMA Management Ltd., which ranks among the top-30 largest senior living providers nationwide, has announced plans to change its name to Gardant Management Solutions this spring.

“The name change is a better reflection of the future direction of our company and mirrors the optimistic, forward-looking focus on the service-enriched housing industry and the growth potential we see,” said Rod Burkett, president and CEO, in a statement.

“Gardant,” which means forward-facing, supports the organization’s plans to expand its product offerings outside the state of Illinois, Julie Simpkins, senior vice president of strategy and business development, tells SHN.

“BMA Management had come to be known as the largest affordable and market-rate assisted living provider in Illinois,” she says. “It is our wish to take our expertise in managing high-quality, high-satisfaction affordable and market-rate assisting living communities to other states.”

The organization’s existing communities will retain their name and their identity, with the only difference being that they will say “managed by Gardant Management Solutions (formerly BMA Management).”

Gardant’s rebrand will more directly impact its B2B collateral, stationary, business cards and signage, which will all transition to reflect the new name.

“The name change allows us to define who we are in the industry and create conversation around the need for true value-driven affordable assisted living in the U.S.,” Simpkins says.

Further announcements regarding the transition and Gardant’s new website will be made in the coming weeks.

BMA Management joins many other senior living providers who have made the name change transition — some of which did so to find broader market reach and to better reflect residents, while others did so as part of a comprehensive rebranding effort.
