More than 50 communities across the U.S. and Canada stand at the threshold of receiving top honors in the 2014 Senior Housing News Architecture & Design Awards. But only a fraction of nominees will ultimately triumph to become the best of the best.
Now in its second year, the SHN Awards recognize forward-thinking organizations that embrace cutting-edge design within their communities to simultaneously improve the lives of their residents and drive operations.
After weeks of compiling submissions from senior living providers nationwide, an esteemed panel of industry expert judges have selected more than 50 communities to move on to the next phase of the competition.
Now in this year’s contest, sponsored exclusively by Kwalu, a leading provider of furniture solutions to the senior living industry, visitors to the 2014 SHN Awards webpage can view photos from each of the nominees and their respective communities prior to the announcement of this year’s winners on December 17.
“Based upon feedback from our readers, we chose to share the visual experiences presented as part of the competition for all to see and appreciate the various aspects of each of the communities in the competition,” said George Yedinak, founder of Senior Housing News.
