Discovery Senior Living Lands Management Contract for Five Texas Communities

Discovery Senior Living, a developer and manager of luxury senior living communities, is expanding its reach into Texas after landing a management contract for five communities in the Lone Star State.

The Bonita Springs, Florida-based company was named the exclusive manager of The Conservatory senior living communities in Texas, according to an announcement made Wednesday by Discovery Senior Living CEO and Co-Founder Thomas J. Harrison.

In addition to the management contract, Discovery also has an ownership interest in the five luxury senior living communities, which include 1,051 total units of one- and two-bedroom independent living rental apartment homes.

“Our expansion into Texas complements our acquisitions in Florida and Alabama, and gives us more opportunities to provide our seniors with our award-winning services in communities where life is celebrated with dignity and respect each and every day,” Harrison said in a statement.

The Conservatory Senior Living locations that Discovery will manage in Texas include The Conservatory at Alden Bridge in The Woodlands Township; The Conservatory at Champion Forest in Spring; The Conservatory at Keller Town Center in Keller; The Conservatory at Plano in Plano;  and The Conservatory at Wells Branch in Austin.

Discovery currently manages and operators 10 other upscale senior living communities in Florida and Alabama, among other company interests and holdings.

The company owns and operates Discovery Village, a portfolio of senior living communities in Florida.

Discovery also has ownership interest in, and is the exclusive manager and operator of, Aston Gardens senior living communities, which are also located in Florida.

To date, the company’s portfolio consists of more than 3,600 units for nearly 4,000 residents.
