Bickford Senior Living Assumes Operations of Three Ga. Assisted Living Communities

Bickford Senior Living has assumed the operations of three Georgia assisted living communities and is beginning to transition the properties to align with its existing 45 independent living, assisted living, and memory care branches in seven Midwestern states.

Dogwood Forest Buckhead Assisted Living and Memory Care, in Atlanta, Ga., Dogwood Forest Marietta Assisted Living and Memory Care, in Marietta, Ga., and Dogwood Forest Alpharetta – North Point Assisted and Memory Care, in Alpharetta, Ga., will be renamed to “Bickford of Buckhead,” “Bickford of Marietta,” and “Bickford of Alpharetta,” respectively.

The three communities have a total of 198 apartments and provide similar services to Bickford’s existing portfolio. The Alpharetta and Buckhead communities both have 72 memory care and assisted living units, while the Marietta campus has 56 units.

“We’re extremely pleased to add these three new dynamic communities to the Bickford Family. Being able to establish a footprint in the Southeastern part of the country has been a goal of ours and we look forward to future growth within the Atlanta area,” said Tracie Kolody, Divisional Director of Operations for Bickford Senior Living.

The properties are owned by healthcare REIT HCP, Inc. (NYSE:HCP), with whom Bickford has signed a long-term lease. The three communities were previously managed by Trinity Lifestyles Management.
