MBK Senior Living Acquires Ariz. Independent Living Community for $31.9 Million

Irvine, Calif.-based owner/operator MBK Senior Living recently closed escrow on a $31.9 million senior living community in Tucson, Ariz. The purchase was made with cash from an undisclosed seller.

The Country Club of La Cholla is MBK Senior Living’s first Arizona community, and it is the company’s 15th community. The acquisition adds 223 independent living units to the owner/operator’s portfolio, bringing the total number of units to 1,936. The community was 90% occupied at time of sale.

“We are thrilled to introduce CCLC’s current residents and their families, as well as the entire Tucson area to MBK’s mission to exceed the quality, service and care expectations of those we serve,” said Terry Howard, president of MBK Senior Living and a former Tucson resident, in a statement.
