The first federal government website devoted to the policies and people of Medicaid launched this week at Medicaid.gov. Launched and managed by the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), the site also serves as a resource for those who work with the Center’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
CMCS has worked to revitalize and reorient the information that the government makes available about these programs, and those efforts culminated in the launch of the new site, which is now live.
“As part of our commitment to transparency and information sharing, Medicaid.gov brings to the forefront the items that States, the health policy community and other stakeholders have said they care about most,” CMCS said in announcing the new site.
Those items include Federal policy guidance, lists of pending and approved waivers, highlights of Affordable Care Act implementation efforts, state-specific information and data, and search capabilities.
