Healthcare Lenders Walker & Dunlop Open Nashville Office, Hire VP

NewImageWalker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE:WD), a leading provider of commercial real estate financial services in the U.S. and LEAN-approved FHA Lender, announced on Dec. 1 that it opened an office in Nashville, Tenn., and hired David T. Strange as vice president of FHA Finance.

Strange will run the Nashville office with support from several analysts and underwriters who will focus on multifamily and healthcare loan originations utilizing FHA financing.

“As we pursue our mission to be the premier commercial real estate finance company in the United States, and more specifically to be a top five FHA lender, we are extremely excited to announce our expansion into the Nashville area,” said Howard Smith, executive vice president and COO, in a statement. “Walker & Dunlop continues to execute on our strategic plan of adding origination talent around the country to grow revenues and broaden our market reach.”

Prior to joining the company, Strange was an FHA originator with Deutsche Bank Berskshire Mortgage, Inc. in their Brentwood, Tenn. office. He has experience originating loans under all FHA programs, and established the FHA Section 242 Hospital Insurance Program during his time with the firm.

He is a certified public accountant and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of South Alabama.
