Senior Lifestyle Acquires Two Retirement Communities

Affiliates of Senior Lifestyle and AEW Capital Management, L.P. have acquired The Woodmark of Sun City in Arizona and The Woodmark of Uptown in Albuquerque, N.M. With the new additions, Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s ownership and management portfolio has grown to more than 70 seniors housing communities across the country. AEW acquired the property on behalf of AEW Senior Housing Investors, L.P.

Their range of care options and amenities makes them a good fit for the lifestyle we offer nationwide,” said Jon DeLuca, Senior Lifestyle’s president and chief executive officer. “We welcome them to the Senior Lifestyle family and look forward to introducing our hospitality-focused service, outstanding wellness program and acclaimed dining to The Woodmark’s residents.”

The Woodmark of Sun City and The Woodmark of Uptown offer independent and assisted living as well as memory care. Opened in 2000, the Sun City community has 133 apartments. The Woodmark of Uptown, which opened in 1998, has 117 apartments. Both communities feature full-service dining programs, private dining rooms, game rooms, a clubhouse, salon, spa, and fitness center.
