Nursing home and assisted living operator Senior Care Inc. has metamorphosed into Elmcroft Senior Living, reflective of the business’s “natural evolution.”
The Louisville-based company has been active in acquiring senior housing facilities, and currently operates 84 independent living, assisted living, and dementia care communities in 20 states, in addition to having 23 skilled nursing and rehabilitation communities and two inpatient rehabilitation hospitals.
“In 2011 alone, we have acquired two, new assisted-living communities, begun construction on Louisville’s newest senior living community, Oaklawn Senior Living, and recently taken over the operations of 32 additional assisted-living communities, which are leased from Ventas Inc.,” Pat Mulloy, the company’s president and CEO, said in a release. “It has been a busy year.”
