Solar Electrical Systems of Westlake Village, California recently announced the completion of an installation of a 288kW solar installation on San Clemente Villas by the Sea, making it the largest photovoltaic system on an assisted living facility in the United States according to the firm.  The facility had solar electrical systems had one installed on the rooftop, one on a solar carport, and one on a steep hillside.  The installation is expected to pay for pay for itself in 4 years, and save the owners over $16 million dollars over the next 30 years as rebates and tax incentives covered approximately 87% of the project’s costs.
