Assisted Living Salaries For LPNs On the Rise as Demand Increases

Costs for assisted living are on the rise when it comes to labor according to the 13th annual Assisted Living Salary & Benefits Report which was recently published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS).  The report shows that the national average hourly rate of Assisted Living LPNs is $19.80 according which represents a 1.02% for LPNs in facilities reporting data from both the 2009 and 2010 Reports.  The 2010 report shows a drop of 6.27% in vacancy rates for LPNs.  The report was published with the cooperation of LeadingAge (formerly aahsa) and supported by the National Center for Assisted Living.  Over 1,600 assisted living facilities participated in the study comprised of 1,500+ for-profit and 109 not-for-profit facilities.
